I never had cable til after I was on my own after college (and only the bare minimum, no pay channels)
it was antennae or nothing growing up
which was fine, it was 4 channels and nothing on
by the 90's (with cable) it was 57 channels and nothing on
TBF I watched a LOT of auto and motorcycle racing and of course a lot of football (pro and college) but then you get older, friends move, etc and it just kinda fades.

I pulled the plug completely when I moved in 2001 and never hooked it back up. antennae or nothing and it was mostly nothing. Tried getting back into football in the mid teens but it pissed me off again and so stopped and basically just streamed (pirated) non over the air UFC

This paramount plus thing this year is the first TV I"ve paid for since 2002. (and only cuz it's under $10 a month, if it was more I'd go back to pirating)
That's TENS of THOUSANDS of dollars over 20 years when you think about it. I don't feel I missed anything.

Don't get me wrong BTW I sure as shit didn't invest that tens of thousands, i just wasted it on other stuff.

I feel kind of fortunate sometimes. TV always took a backseat to playing outside. In my teens TV took a backseat to going out and partying. In my early adult years TV took a backseat to bar hopping and clubbing and picking up chicks. Still today IDGAF about social media or streaming services.

Man...I fukin love TV. I have always been a homebody. My dad used to say, "I never had to worry about you because your a homeboy".
Now, I had my fair share or goings out and rabble rousing (2 more R words), but nothing is finer than sittin at home with a lady and a good show to watch. (well, there are few better things,)
