@bconcrete when there's UFC on
Every. Time. It's taking intentional, planned, coordinated effort to stay awake@bconcrete when there's UFC on

Same.you guys make it to 8:30??????????
wow
I seriously have to take a nap on UFC nights to make sure i make it.
some days I need a nap before bed just to get some sleep in before crawling into bed.Same.
The problem is the only time I have for a nap is right before bedtime, when the card is on.
8??? You must've been rich. I remember 3-4. NBC, CBS, ABC, and maybe public access. All 8 Channels played the SSB and signed off by 2am.
Static till 6am the next morning.
rich people had HBO8??? You must've been rich. I remember 3-4. NBC, CBS, ABC, and maybe public access.
We had HBO but only on free weekends.rich people had HBO
I called the cable company, ordered it, then a few weeks later got my ass whooped. We had HBO but only on free weekends.
I feel kind of fortunate sometimes. TV always took a backseat to playing outside. In my teens TV took a backseat to going out and partying. In my early adult years TV took a backseat to bar hopping and clubbing and picking up chicks. Still today IDGAF about social media or streaming services.I never had cable til after I was on my own after college (and only the bare minimum, no pay channels)
it was antennae or nothing growing up
which was fine, it was 4 channels and nothing on
by the 90's (with cable) it was 57 channels and nothing on
TBF I watched a LOT of auto and motorcycle racing and of course a lot of football (pro and college) but then you get older, friends move, etc and it just kinda fades.
I pulled the plug completely when I moved in 2001 and never hooked it back up. antennae or nothing and it was mostly nothing. Tried getting back into football in the mid teens but it pissed me off again and so stopped and basically just streamed (pirated) non over the air UFC
This paramount plus thing this year is the first TV I"ve paid for since 2002. (and only cuz it's under $10 a month, if it was more I'd go back to pirating)
That's TENS of THOUSANDS of dollars over 20 years when you think about it. I don't feel I missed anything.
Don't get me wrong BTW I sure as shit didn't invest that tens of thousands, i just wasted it on other stuff.
Man...I fukin love TV. I have always been a homebody. My dad used to say, "I never had to worry about you because your a homeboy".I feel kind of fortunate sometimes.
