My request for sick time was denied bc @Eranys has been out sick. I don't believe him though. This is depression from an overabundance of sunlight, and feeling of illness are all constructed in his mind.
 
So a few months back I saw some reference to something and I bought some Calabrian chili paste.
Man this stuff is good. On eggs, tremendous, in pasta sauces, OMG. And it takes very little. I"ll put maybe 1 table spoon (prob less) in a whole thing of spaghetti sauce. Adds a real nice smokey heat. It's def hot. A teaspoon or so on your omelette and you're drinking a good amount of water for the day. I just made some mac and cheese (basically) and put some in with that. It's great.
I had to get it on amazon cuz of course, nobody local has it, couple different brands. This isn't even the hot stuff, but it's def hot. Maybe someone else needs a new idea of stuff to try. (after a while everything gets so boring...........).

really? interesting. I'm hip, I'm with it........

I can see why. It's supremely different from most others and it's not JUST HOT. (like a lot of hot sauces are just hot without much flavor). it's tasty, and not only adds some heat, but adds a real nice smokey deep flavor. (it makes store spaghetti sauce a LOT better) and it don't take much. I think it would be good on pizza. Oh since the wife is gone i should try that. I'm thinking like a thin bit on a grilled cheese would be realy good (might be too hot though).

Ya I'm a fan. that and the habanero are my favorite chiles. they pair well with all kinds of stuff.
