Just give them Minnesota and be done with it. We're done with it anyway.

If all they wanted is a state to live peacefully we would have been done with all of this decades ago

Correct.

Egypt would have worked it out with them back in the late 70s/early 80s if it was truly just a matter of them wanting a state to peacefully live in.

The fact that Egypt was like, "yea... we don't want to re-inherit that mess, good luck Israel!" and subsequently shut their border down to 'Palestine' is enough evidence of support.

I'm not even sure we have to go back that far or involve Egypt. Of Gaza, Israel in 2005 said "fine, take it, it's yours" but the Palestinians just couldn't know how to act like a modern civilized society.

LOL come on man, they never said "fine, take it, it's yours"

Israel was getting bled dry financially trying to protect their settlers so they withdrew their military and made a temporary choice to defend the established/more easily defensible border.

They never made any kind of agreement with the PNA or formally recognized Palestine and certainly never said, "it's officially yours, best of luck".

Many within Israel were rip-shit pissed about it... Netanyahu resigned over it and used the move to launch his Prime Minister bid shortly after.

(None of that is a defense of Palestine or a condemnation of Israel.. only that it's just a wild exaggeration to say that Israel handed it over to them in 2005 and they blew it)
