I gotta say, I really do love being married. And, while nothing is ever truly guaranteed, I am about as sure as a person can be that I am in a permanent, monogamous relationship. I can't even imagine dating in this modern world.

I'll admit it, sometimes when shit is rough on the home front, a solid chunk of my motivation to work it out is thinking about the dregs floating around the dating pool.

The statistical likelihood of finding someone to put up with me AND ending up in a situation at least as good as I am now is roughly equivalent to the odds of Brick skipping a bourbon-and-poker weekend to go to Bible camp.
