Political Correctness

So there were 6 of us I think and we all get sat on one table with 2 burners. We order some chicken, some shrimp, and some beef that we are supposed to cook ourselves.... because that is somehow enjoyable when I go out to a restaurant??
xD My best friend is like this as well and i LOVE that type of food.
It is a bit special, every bite feels kinda fresh. (not his problem, he can eat a cow within 10 minutes and would chew 3 times max..)
I could eat Raclette and meat fondue all the time (is any of that a thing in the US?) He HATES it!

Should have went to Queens for that.

There was a restaurant in midtown, Gogi 37, sadly now gone. They would serve a Korean bento box (dosirak) with so much food for $15, in addition to 7 plates of appetizers on the house. I never left the place hungry.
Damn! Korean BBQ is usually super expensive, thats why i prefet a normal restaurant to the BBQ one, but that sounds great!

In NYC Bryant Park in the winter, there is usually a stand in the seasonal food court that sells freshly melted raclette on ciabatta bread. Lines stretches out for some distance.

I'm not a fan of Korean food in general. There's some good stuff, but of the common Asian restaurants, they are typically my last choice.

I could eat Japanese food three meals a day, likely forever.
I love Bibimbap, i love all the side dishes you get for EVERY meal.
In Japan i have the problem that i can't eat raw fish and i only am ok with cooked fish.
But there is enough other stuff, like Ramen and Okonomiyaki, so we get by.

Wasnt Korean BBQ, just Korean food. In addition to free kimchi and the like, they serve salad, kimbap, chicken wings, and a shitload of bulgogi and onions with rice. Amazing deal.

As a Yankees fan, Queens was enemy territory lol.... until I started dating a girl that lived right on the edge of Brooklyn and Queens. Then I had to venture in a few times.

Can't blame them.
I eat it until i can't see any cheese for the next 3 weeks and by some weird voodoo magic that feeling is gone until the next day already and i am sitting there makeing more raclette xD

There's actually one called Lin's Asian Bistro, and they serve quite the panoply of options. Anytime you see a restaurant like that, there is a very safe bet that it is Korean owned.

But I am bummed there are no Japanese restaurants run by Japanese here. The Koreans often make changes to traditional items to more suit the local palate.
TF is DAT?!?!?!

A fuckin caribou roll with raw moose liver on top?
