Political Correctness

You don't see it here as well

I can't even listen to this shit
It sounds like some alien language eh?

Us Americans are funny. We have everything we could ever want and that fact pisses many of us off, because we have nothing to be angry about. So we are prone to finding shit to make us angry.

In the 90s there was a 'Satanic panic' where religious parents were burning Pokemon and Harry Potter products. Maybe there is some point about 'idle hands are the Devils work' or something. Where if you have no immediate responsibilities and needs are fulfilled a lot of people go batshit or dumb from boredom.

I don't know who said it, maybe someone on the JRE,but the said its all feminism. In the sense that more women don't have kids, so they don't have that super important thing to care & worry about, kids. So they take all of that displaced worry/love/caring and find a cause and essentially put all of their "might" into that. Liberal white women.

No it's not that, that's horseshit. QAnon and Alex Jones wasn't brought on by feminism. Men and women are equally susceptable to brainwashed nonsense, it just comes in different flavors.

A tip, if someone is using weird jargon in everyday life (problematic, microaggression, roastie, breeder, two spirit, fedposting, hasbara bot, volcel) where the usage of the phrase would be weird to normal people (normies! Another example of said jargon), they need to turn off their internet and touch grass (example of a phrase that everyone can understand).

Hasbara bot?? lol. That sounds like a good stoner metal band name.

that was Rogan. he said that liberal women with no kids take on society, particularly the "marginalized", as their kids, their people to protect from this awful human behavior.

I call BS on that. Those type of 'liberal women' would just adopt a pet dog or cat or parrot or something instead. A few patronizing racist types? Oh absolutely, but that's way too generic for the whole umbrella of woke (and the 'based' counterparts in the other direction).

I will reframe Maslow's Hierarchy of Needs as it pertains to Americans, and ask, what is the most important goal for the average American, based on the content said American consumes? Alright, you got Joe Blow and Jane Blow, they live in suburbia, their parents have professional careers with decent pensions and the house mostly paid for and expected to be passed down to them. Their parents have deferred child rearing to a series of Mexican nannies and the local school board. They were mentored by Mr. Beast and the Paul Brothers and get mostly everything they ever asked for. All they are missing is human attention. 'Oh look at me and how un-woke/woke I am. SOMEONE PAY ATTENTION TO ME!'

One of the funniest things I've seen on the internet was when a keffiyah wearing white girl was spending the whole 'protest' taking selfies and as soon as a cop grabbed her to throw her out she started screaming like a banshee. Most are at least self-aware enough to hide their attention seeking nonsense and let it manifest subconsciously.

sheesh man don't kill the messenger

Make sense to me. I know this not 100% everyone, but I do believe it's a good portion.

We have everything... except for the ability to live without our every movement and word being surveilled and evidence of our actions being retained in a data center forever.

Other than that... (and I suppose in some part because of that)

That is such a non-issue, to be honest.
Especially given that human beings are unable to siphon through all the data that the data centers have on us. Even the most advanced AI is going to be useless here.

'ChatGPT, give me the names and addresses of every American who looked up guns on the internet.'

'Sure thing, please see the below 300 million names'

Or a flock cam says, "OMG, Brick got gas and stopped by the grocery store today."

Sure. I agree that it's a non-issue when resources are in abundance and humans are at the helm/in charge of enforcement.

Do you have any idea of how quickly AI is advancing? Look at 6 years ago compared to 3 years ago , and 3 years ago compared to today.

I realized some time ago that I really do not give a shit that my movements are easily trackable. Not only is my life quite boring and predictable these days, but in the off chance I am ever accused of a crime I did not commit, an alibi will be quite easy to produce.

Again, that assessment is all being baked into the system of laws and law enforcement capabilities that exist right now. Right now there's no restrictions on gas or food or speech. In the future that could change, if it does, the fact that everything you say do and every movement you've made in the last decade plus is stored in a data center will matter.

Or a flock cam says, "OMG, Brick got gas and stopped by the grocery store today."

What about when there are restrictions on how many gas you can use, or what grocery stores you can shop at?

You're already starting to see it in other coutries. Do you really think it will never happen here?

Whatever though, I'm no longer scared of it. I just shrug my shoulders at the dismissive attitude so many have of what is happening in real time right in front of them.

If there is a totalitarian takeover the likes you seem to be prognosticating, our feelings about our smartphones and apps tracking us will be the least of our worries. If that kind of tyranny reigns, what is to stop them from restricting whatever they want whenever they want? Because Americans would not put up with that kind of shit that you say is happening elsewhere. Besides China and North Korea, where do you see this happening?

I never said there would be a totalitarian takeover.

My point is that you don't have to go back very far (COVID) to see how little resistance most Americans will provide when basic freedoms and essential liberties are taken away... so long as they are told it is for the greater good.

"Who cares if you have to show your card to get into the grocery store, just be a good boy and get your card!"

To restrict Americans to limits on gas by government decree and to restrict what stores we are allowed to shop at would require a far more authoritarian government. I don't believe that will happen without some kind of seismic change in our system.

If you would have asked me 10 years ago, I would have agreed.

COVID was a real eye-opener in how little resistance people will put up.

We literally just went thru a period of time where we were restricted, by the government, from entering certain types of venues if we didn't present proper medical paperwork. Or was that only a Cook County thing?
