There are alot of guys right now vying for the shot at Bones. But there are 4 guys that stand out the most and are at normal circumstances would get that shot. This is not a normal situation though considering all 4 are worthy. What i was thinking was a 4 man tournament for the LHW title shot:
Lyoto Machida vs. Alexander Gustafsson
Glover Teixeira vs. Daniel Cormier
What do you guys think and who do you think would win it all?

Cormier is staying at HW just now. Says he wants to take HW fights while losing weight.

This depends on if he goes to LHW
Lets just say Daniel comes down to LHW.
I'd take Cormier. That wrestling is the difference. No one would take him down and no one would deny his TDs. Cormier's strength in the clinch is the best I've seen in MMA. If he can manhandle 250lbers like Mir and Barnett, these LHWs will be crumb cake n' ice cream.
If this ever took place I think he'd win. Machida would be an interesting challenge for him, he might struggle to get a hold of him.
Having said that, I don't think he's actually going to go down to 205.

I believe if Cain wins DC will do a test run on the cut (Slowly) if all goes well and he feels good at the weight, he'll be a force no doubt, just might not be in time for your' Tourney, good idea though
Wrestling is so overrated sometimes. If Cormier had a super awesome ground/pound game I could see him being the favorite...but he doesn't. I think if he takes fighters down, they are going to be able to get up or utilize some BJJ and score points outside of takedowns. His standup is ok but not nearly as polished as any of the other 3. The idea he's simply just going to take guys down at will seems a bit silly to me considering his cardio isn't that great either, so he could quickly gas with these takedown attempts. Cormier is still very green compared to these guys.
Gustafsson beats Machida by decision, Glover beats Cormier by not giving a f--- about wrestling and KOing him. Gustafsson beats Glover by KO round 2.

Which Cormier have you been watching? I'm talking about Daniel Cormier, the Olympic wrestler with fantastic cardio, and much more skills than just wrestling.

I'm gonna have to agree Sed, if he can function at top level he will be a Beast at LHW, how could you think otherwise?
For me it's probably Cormier. If he cuts right safely, then he can put a stamp on this division. DC can dictate wherever the fight takes place, if he's getting tooled on the feet then all them 3(including Bones) is going bye bye, there getting put on there arses. He can avoid the ground and use his decent boxing if he wants too. Machida a close second and I really rate Lyotos tdd, but the only 2 in the LHW division that can put him on his back are Bones and Cormier IMO.

The one that barely beat Mir and while his Barnett fight was impressive neither of those two have the striking these 3 guys have. Fantastic cardio? Yikes. I thought he was gonna pass out when he fought Frank.

I guess you really weren't paying attention. Mir didn't have anything for Cormier besides a few high kicks that never landed and Cormier never slowed down. It was an easy 30-27 for Cormier. "Barely" is not an accurate way to describe his win. You might give that fight a second watch. (Although I wouldn't recommend it, kind of a snoozer)
Cormier has wins over 2 former HW champs as well as the guy who's up next, as long as he retains his strength and stamina(remains to be seen) he will pose great difficties for all LHWs Jones included. Not sure if Bones will still be there though, if and when this takes place. Interesting Fight if it happens, still like Jones to emerge as the winner but far from a "gimme"

I see Machida winning this tournament. But why eliminate possible challengers for Jones with a 4 man tournament?
Jones is already close to clearing out the division. He needs more challengers, not less.
