I don't get it...maybe too technical for me, but technical submission to BRF somehow differs With a sub due to tap, it's the fine art of splitting hairs for no other reason than to be difficult

No, he's not suggesting that, he's just confused as to why it's labelled "technical". Fitch was submitted, the Ref intervening makes it a technical submission.

It would be a great heel move by Fitch if Burkman comes to collect and Fitch refuses to pay because, "while he was choked out... he never tapped".
