Yeah, it's a big difference when you're in a division, like HW, when everyone has power to knock you out. Still Barao is great, i just can't compare to Fedor...

No I base that on the biggest media from latin america (Globo), from 2 days ago, that states Aldo got over 10x more money than Barão.

Read the bolded part, official sararies has not been reported on this event, the salaries reported are estimates on last official reported salaries, which on Baraos case is two years and 4 fights ago, before he was champion.

And yet it's Fedors name that still pops up, he's not my GOAT or in my top 10 to think about it. What he has done in his career is down right impressive to the point where is name is still brought more than anyone in the UFC hall of fame.
Everyone that fights wants to cement a "legacy" this is a fighter that did this not with trash talk, or his antics outside the ring, but the good old fashioned way with his fists

He has fans who bring him up, but it doesnt mean he is better than any of UFC Hof members, or even near their level.

FEBRUARY 5TH 2014
The official salaries for UFC 169 have been released, and they are causing consternation.
Fans are in outcry over title challenger Ricardo Lamas being on a $10,000/$10,000 deal, and champion Renan Barao apparently being on $22,000/$22,000.
However, UFC payments to fighters are a murky area, with the existence of off-the-books ‘locker room bonuses’ a well-known way of keeping fighter pay higher than officially reported, so that the tax man can’t get at it.
The simple fact is, we don’t know how much these figures represent take-home pay.
We never heard of a new contract being signed, so we could say he is still getting 22k, but Dana takes good care of him behind the curtains. Specially for the headline of 169.

I wouldn't complain too much about barao's pay, people need to remember a thing called PPV points

You are what
GNI is to how he talks about Bellator
BRF to predicting fights wrong and getting right once in a blue moon ( still love you bro )
BuffaloBlue to how he runs the JFF
its just a shame you can't get it right, keep trying though

so what you're saying is Fedor had the harder fights as all his oppponents were all on steroids?
If only the UFC fighters and their sanctioned fights could get away with something similar..... TRT maybe?

no, fedor was never drug tested and none of his fights were sanctioned.. so there is no proof he wasn't on steroids, or that his fights weren't fixed. I personally think they weren't fixed, and that m-1 global just hand picked his opponents to avoid a loss, but thats just me.

http://www.bloodyelbow.com/2014/2/5...lary-reporting-numbers-ufc-169-barao-mma-news
MMAManifesto sucks, they keep on reporting wrong #'s on fighters pay, and other websites report the same #'s out of laziness.
This might not seem to be a big deal, but as a fighter I can tell that this is a big deal.
To give an example, when I fought
Phil Davis
, MMA Manifesto reported that I had made $8k to show in that fight, when in fact I've made $22k (which was my second fight in a 6-figure contract)
Here is the issue, when I had to negotiate with other promotions after getting cut from the UFC these promotions wanted to pay me based on what I was making in the UFC, and the only thing that they could find online were the $8k reported by MMA Manifesto, so they ended up low balling me thinking that they were making me a nice offer, since they were offering me something close to what I was making in the UFC (according to MMA Manifesto, but nowhere close to the real numbers).
I'm writing this because I just saw that they have reported Barão's pay for
UFC 169
, and they reported that he made 22k, same numbers that he made in February of 2012 before he became a champion, also the last time that he has fought in a state where the payouts are released to the public.
Anyways, fans, bloggers, promoters and real journalists, don't believe anything that comes from that website, MMA Manifesto is a shitty website run by lazy

There must be 80% of your stupid posts that are said about Fedor(all hate and bias). It's pathetic; you're pathetic.
Forest Griffin and Stefan Bonner are not or have never been on Fedors level for talent and accomplishment, EVER!!!!

At this point no one should even bother reading about UFC fighter salaries. The UFC is a private company who keeps their financial info private. Any fans that are in "outcry" are also idiots.

Yeah Vinny's msg that BRF posted explains that little.
Amazing that a media company as big as globo made a HUGE HEADLINE about how Barão is been underpaid lol
Better check your sources...
