I still think Brock's conditioning is suspect - if Shane can push him up against the cage in the first round and tire him out, the takedowns are a much smaller threat - Randy
easily
stuffed Brock's takedown attempt in the second round; it was tired and sloppy, I think Carwin can do the same.

And somehow you're confident Carwin can outlast Lesnar in the gas tank department?
Really?
Brock has been three rounds. Carwin hasn't. If anybody's conditioning should be suspect, it's Shane's.

That's because Brock's been in a fight he couldn't finish, Shane hasn't.
By all accounts, he's got an excellent gas tank due to altitude training and whatnot. I've brought it up in the past, it's been mentioned in multiple interviews(I think one of the commentators even brought it up during the event?). I think it could be simply his guys talking him up, but that's what people who train with the guy say. They also say he hits really hard.
My point is, Brock was winded in the 2nd and his takedown attempt was easily shrugged off by a smaller wrestler. That is a fact, it happened. If I'm building a strategy to take the guy apart, that's the sort of thing I'd be looking at.
Either way, I think that's a viable strategy for any wrestler to nullify Brock's TD attempts and keep it standing (if that's their goal), in the clinch or otherwise.
