Carlos Condit vs BJ Penn official for UFC 137

I agree I think Condit will do some damage to Penn and this fight will for the most part be a stand up war imo, this one aint going the distance someone is getting seriously hurt I just dont know who. The worst part is that I like both fighters equally and dont wish to see either one lose so this will be hard to watch but im sure will be an epic battle to be remembered.

You're using the wrong logic. I want to see Fitch vs GSP and Penn vs GSP and Fitch vs Penn. It was more of a snide remark about Joe Silva/DW refusing to give Fitch a shot.

Sigh.
Condit vs. Penn is a great fight, should be entertaining & has my interest. For what it's worth, I think Condit has this as the younger, larger, hungrier fighter.
To reiterate the obvious, Fitch doesn't get a title because...
1. he's not coming off a win (making the likes of Condit, Diaz & Ellenberger more compelling)
2. he's already been beaten by the current champion (making the likes of Condit, Diaz, Ellenberger & Story more compelling)
3. he hasn't noticeably improved since being beaten by the champion
4. he's coming off a draw against someone that the champion beat more recently and in a more convincing way than he beat him
5. he's not an entertaining or 'box office' fighter, meaning no matter how 'sporting' a Fitch title shot may be, it makes no sense from a commercial point of view.
BJ Penn vs Carlos Condit, your thought...
Will BJ get knock out flat for the first time in his MMA career? This fight look like a definite possibility with someone Condit's skill set. The size between these 2 guys are just enormous. BJ is 5'9 and Condit is a 6'2; as tall as Anderson Silva. Condit is also a complete fighter standing up and on the ground. I think Condit may be more complete than BJ because he uses a lot of kicks mixing up with punches. Gas tank goes to Condit as well. I don't know, man. This one could get nasty for BJ unless he can take Condit down consistently like GSP does.

I think this fight is going to be much like ...
Bj Penn(RoryMac) vs Condit....
Round 1-BJ will come out blazing and win the wars standing and on the ground, may end round 1 with back control and the bell rings.
Round 2 - The first half will be much of the same as Condit tries to build up an offense but BJs high skill level and energy is frustrating Condit slightly, about halfway threw this round Condit catches Bj with a strike or with a barrage of strikes and starts to get the better of him and finishes the round strong.
Round 3 - Condit starts off slow but dominates the round.
Split Decision - Condit.
