UFC 169 takes place Feb. 1 at Prudential Center in Newark, N.J. The UFC's annual Super Bowl weekend show typically is in Las Vegas, but this year heads to New Jersey, which hosts the NFL's title game the next day at MetLife Stadium in nearby East Rutherford.

Aldo vs Lamas too.
I really like Cruz, I think he's got an awesome style but the massive lay off, coupled with the fact that Barao is a difficult match for him on a good day, makes me think Barao wins this one.
Delighted Lamas is finally getting his title shot too, although I don't give him much of a chance he deserves his shot.

Dana said they were "talking" about making Aldo v Lamas for this card. Pretty much meant they were writing up contracts, but hadn't been signed yet.

so far seems like it'll be a an excellent card. Aldo vs Lamas, Cruz cs Barao, Reem vs Mir
and I'm excited that the UFC gets to further utilize it's FOX deal by having it's superbowl weekend PPV near the where the superbowl takes place. hopefully the media week includes tons of attention for the UFC

If He can get the win here, we have a BW GOAT on our hands and one of the best come back stories in MMA in a long time.
But my head is saying Barao and he should get the job done here I really hope i'm wrong

I also like Cruz and hope he comes back strong however that being said Barao is a beast and will be a tough fight for Cruz even at 100%
I think if Cruz can still use his footwork to get in and out combined with his crazy head movement and TDD he will do well on the feet with Barao, he is also a good wrestler too so it all comes down to ring rust imo.

I don't see how Cruz will beat Barao, after that huge layoff? "Ring Rust" is real, and Barao is the last BW you wanna face after being gone for so long.
