They make sense I guess, Velasquez will just destroy bigfoot again. Overeem-dos santos is gonna be a great fight though, hopefully it's a 5 round fight.

I think the "who else would get it" comes into play here. There really isn't anyone else at heavyweight that's close. They can't really push Mir/Cormier as #1 contender fight because of this lame *** camp excuse thing and Mir is not a #1 contender, and Werdum vs. Big Nog is tough too because Nog shouldn't get it...and that fight is far away in June.
You just can't keep Cain on the shelf though...the guy was out forever and you need HW title fights....so I guess I'm ok with it. Bigfoot did put Overeem down so you have to give him some props and just hope he can improve on his game from the last Cain fight.

Ok I suppose. They quite easily could've made Bigfoot v JDS but I'll settle for these fights. Cain will probably still destroy Silva in the wrestling, but that bad cut did hinder him somewhat. There is no way that Overeem could do any worse for underestimation against Junior,I expect him to have his hands glued to his face next time. If he doesent he'll be put to sleep in the first round.
My prediction will be a Cain win and a junior win, setting up an early as expected rubber match for Junior,IMO.

Yeah I just don't see how Silva/Overeem win these respective fights. Overeem's power seems to be a bit overrated and his chin is garbage, and Bigfoot is still a super slow heavyweight that Cain mauled in the blink of an eye. Whatever though...anything can/will happen in MMA and I'm still excited about both fights....even if they are really one-sided. The rubber match will be epic.

I just re watched the Cain/Bigfoot fight last night, it was just one slip up from Bigfoot which was the kick Cain caught and it was down hill from there. I agree who else could you give it to right now and Silva is the only one, the betting lines are going to be crazy for this one

It makes sense.
Outta the top HWs right now, you had to have some sort of rematch. Overeem vs Dos Santos should be an awesome fight. Hopefully Big Foot vs Cain goes better the 2nd time than it did the first.

F*ck that! Rather Barnett get an instant title shot. Rather see Cormier in there or even scrap the Werdum/Nog TUF. Even the Hunt/Struve winner fighting Cain. I don't have an interest in Cain/Bigfoot 2 at this time.

I just want to see JDS vs Overeem. I don't really care who Cain fights next. Give him Big Country for all I care. The JDS vs Overeem winner makes the only interesting fight for me.
The HW division seemed so stacked a minute ago but not so much now.

All the contenders ran out I suppose now,
don't get me wrong there is still a lot of mid level guys in the division but as elite level few and far between now
JDS,Cain,Cormier,Barnett, and its up for debate to add Bigfoot in the mix seeing how he was mauled by Cain or to still keep Overeem since his loss

I think JDS wins by having the slightly better cardio and heavier hands. AO gets wrecked again, and tucks his tail and scuttles back to Japan afterward.

I would honestly keep Overeem in the list of elite HWs based on the first two rounds against Bigfoot. He was pretty much having his way with Bigfoot and beat himself in the third because he got so cocky. I'm hoping Overeem regularly supplements his horse meat with humble pie from now on. He has all the skills to beat anyone but he needs to keep his mental game in check.

I think you're probably right but I think it's a much more interesting fight than anything Cain could potentially have.

I agree. Cain wrecks Big Foot (again), Big Country and Mir. Only interesting matchup for Cain would be Werdum. I really want to see how he would do against a guy that is a threat on the ground.

Somehow, I think Cain vs Werdum will look similar to Cain vs Big Nog

werdum lost to overeem recently.. i think cain would absolutely destroy werdum on the feet..
werdum would throw a punch cain would duck under and land a combination.
Cain velasquez via round 2 TKO when he fights werdum

No love for Werdum on here. Pretty obvious that his standup has impoved ten fold, maybe no ones looking Or judging a ko off Junior that would've knocked out every top 10 HW, if they were caught with one of Juniors uppercuts up into the nose, in his only time he's ever been stopped in his career I might add.
