Fedor laughing all the way to the bank.
He's approaching 40, why bother fighing anyone legitimate when you can make 2.5mil fighing a can.
The press conference was just as much a joke. No Fedor, on a beach, next to an airport (had to stop for noise of planes all the time)

I fail to see where Rizin will make any money from this.

I'm always highly dubious of the payout numbers these smaller promotions tout for their main events.
It's like when WWE said they paid Floyd Mayweather $20,000,000 for a single Wrestlemaina appearance. When a number is that absurd, I want to see a cashed check before I believe it.
Most likely, they have some kind of tiered deal on the table that could be worth up to $2.5 million, if "x" amount of PPV buys are sold.... x being an insanely high amount that there is no way the event will even come close to approaching. Still though, both sides get to say, "$2.5 million deal in place".

It's exactly that sentiment that I feel. Nothing has changed with MMA business in the last 10-15 years.
Why can't we have Fedor vs King Mo. Isn't King Mo in Rizin?

it was a given, Singh is a can. fedor stock neither goes up or down, just sits there like an unflushable turd.
drains yet more money from the promotion with more fights (more fool Rizin, Saki - mug)
unlikely to ever step up in competition, too easy robbing the promo of vast monies fighting cans. (I dont blame Fedor at all)
retires (again) in a short time anyway (or carries on super can crushing into his 40s (dont think yakuza have that much money they want to wash))
If Singh wins there may actually be a surge within India for MMA breaking into a country of 1.2b people. Their amateur wrestling and boxing is gaining in popularity currently, this could help out fill in some holes in the landscape and get some new talent farmed for the future.
No blame for Fedor at all. The guy has played his hand perfectly with what he was dealt. He'd be a fool for turning down 2.5m for a 'match'. At least he isnt mouthing off about how great he is while crushing cans *ahem Askren*
If he ever went to the UFC, at this stage he'd be chewed up and spat out with dana shitting all over him all for a fraction of the monies. He dont need that at this point of his life.

I wanted pretty much any named Bellator fighter, even if cans. I can't tell if this is a joke or not or if this Singh thing is just a joke by the internet or not. Heck we could have King Mo versus Fedor.
Basically they have 100's of potential fun opponents and we might get some unknown.
Hell, i'll take Hong Man Choi 2 over this.

I heard they offered the bellator lot the fights, but they got scurred and turned them down. Don't blame them tbh.
The Indian doesent mind getting choked out or knocked out in the first minute cuz he could do with an easy pay check.

Doesn't it make you realize how out of touch with reality you are? You can love 2007 Fedor all your want but the second he lost to real competition the mystique was lost. Now he's just a has been looking for a pay cheque. And there's no way you can argue that when these types of fights are announced.
