One of the main dings against Jon Fitch when it comes to getting a rematch with GSP is that it isn't marketable for the UFC. However, the upcoming card in Australia sold out in record time with Fitch vs. Penn headlining. This card doesn't even have a lot of big names to sell the card outside of the headliner.

although we only get one card a year here in aus and this being our second card, i wasnt purchasing tickets until i saw fitch's name as the main event...originally it was looking like bisping was gonna headline and who the f*ck wants to pay for that.
Fitch is a grinder he grinds out fights and until he is beaten he is number two in the ww devision so i jumped at the chance to see him fight, plus i hate bj penn so any chance to see him lose is a bonus =P

Now this, I can kind of understand. That being said, I see more and more people on here "claiming" after every Fitch fight that they will NOT watch another Fitch fight....

Last time it was announced without a single fight being rumored.
Different City.
Penn, Sots, & Bisping.
People missed out last time and wanted to make sure they got in this time.

When UFC 120 came to the UK, it sold out in record time for a UK UFC event even though it was one of the worst line-ups we've ever had here.
Go without something for long enough & you'll take what you can get.

This pretty much explains it, last time I thought there was a slim chance it would even sell out.
It was crazy last time people who bought tickets for $50 were selling them for $250.
