Wait... 11 transitions in 5 fights? And you're claiming that as evidence of him being active? That's two transitions every fifteen minutes. Whoa!
Thanks for proving how boring he is.
And 72 'significant' strikes. Lol. Fitch isn't only the king of decisions, he's the master of pitter-patter.

I'd bet you $1000 right now, that I could find one of your top five favorite fighters who has landed a lesser significant strike percentage or significant strikes period in there last five fights. You got ten minutes. 2-1 odds.

I'd bet you $1000 right now, that you couldn't find one of my top favorite fighters who has less transitions per minute then Jon Fitch. You have ten minutes.

I see. It baffles you that I could find statistics outside of my PERSONAL opinion to back up my position. I could see how that could bother any Hater.

You're right. Because 11 transitions in 5 fights proves he's so active. And he can throw baby, pillow punches. He definitely tries to finish..

Don't piggy back on a fake contender. Same bet. 10 minutes 2-1 odds. Post your top five favorites in 10 minutes or less and let's get to it, or are you scared hater?

Okay. Total significant strikes landed per minute. Look up Junior dos Santos, Shane Carwin and Sam Stout.

But, now that I've accepted your challenge don't expect me to s--- here and wait some extended period of time for you to man/woman up (No disrespect, I think you're a guy,, but never asked so don't know for sure).
Let's go, get the list posted so I can get my money punk!

You seem not understand the gist of my argument.
I'll give you a hint: 'significant strikes' = lol.

Oh, I get the gist of your argument. When it comes to fighters who aren't your favorite, significant strikes = lol.
If I knew off the top of my head your top five or ten favorite fighters, I post statistics showing that Fitch is more proficient that one of your favorites. This is why you did NOT accept my challenge.

You're right Resolute.
11 transitions in 75 minutes proves that Jon Fitch's first priority is to get to a better position.
LOL. Fanboy at it's finest. Seriously, how can you defend that?

No, you really don't.
Since I have to explain it to you in no uncertain terms this will be my last post in this thread.
Fight statistics are bogus, period. If you need more explanation than that, then you're beyond my ability to help.

I NEVER said that 11 transitions in 75 minutes proves that Fitch's first priority is a better position. What I did say, and which you are now using in your arguments is that Fitch has, going against your statement that I responded to earlier, has transitioned to better positions; despite your cry for him to do so, as if he hadn't done it as of late.
You have given me the forethought and motivation to start a list of Junkies who change their tune to fit their argument against Jon Fitch. YOU brought up transitions, I responded.

So fight statistics are bogus to you, thank you for the clarification. Now I know that win loss records like that of Cain Velasquez, or Georges St. Pierre or Edson Barboza mean nothing to you.

This is unnecessary.
There's one way he could get the title shot. When he gets the takedown, attempt to transition, to land big blows, look for submissions or at least accept a fight against anyone the UFC puts against you.
Remember Jon, you need the UFC more then the UFC needs you.
But this thread was pretty f**king hilarious.

Mounted and had the back of Thiago Alves. Had the back of Paulo Thiago multiple times. Second most strikes landed in UFC history.
Took a fight with Pierce on short notice when Alves got hurt. Took a fight with Saunders on short notice when Alves got hurt. Took a fight with Penn when he was told he would get a title shot after beating Alves.....
Anything you think he doesnt do?

Things Fitch doesn't do:
1) Finish fights.
2) Entertain the masses
3) Fight Josh Koschek
4) Want to sign likeness rights away for perpetuity.
5) Evolve/improve enough that anyone but a Fitch fan boy thinks he has a chance of beating GSP in a rematch.
I think those 5 things are enough in Dana's mind to prevent Fitch from getting his shot.
I think with one win over a top 5-7 guy he deserves his shot. The draw with BJ does set him back but not much.

#1 move to strikeforce
#2 move to bellator
#3 move to bamma
#4 create a tournament where the title is decided on most transitions in a fight

1. I can see this being a problem but he faces some tough comp and guys that are very difficult to finish
2. Entertainment is subjective and reading this forum, some people are entertained by him including myself.
3. This will never happen and people need to get over it. Guillard wont fight Guida. Gracie camp wont fight each other. Anderson Silva wouldnt move to LHW cuz he didnt wanna fight Machida. It shouldnt be a big deal that he wont fight 2 WWs out of all of them, Koscheck and Swick.
4. Wasnt this resolved?
5. His stand up looked better against Pierce and Alves. His bread and butter is and always will be the ground game

People say that if GSP Loses to Diaz then Fitch will be more likely to get a title shot. I find the exact opposite. If Diaz becomes champ, they will want nothing to do with Fitch flirting with the title because, realistically, they don't want the strap around his waste. If GSP loses to Diaz, I guarantee you that his first fight after the loss will be against Fitch so he beats him and puts him further away from another title shot.

Fitch has taken some shots at Diaz lately so I wouldnt be shocked if they gave him that fight.
