So the Diaz card is coming together. Just needs a fourth fight on the main card and then all the preliminaries. But then what's up after that?
It feels like SF is fizzling out a bit. Fewer cards. And it seems like the HW division is at a standstill. Brett's off fighting in Halifax, Alistair will be off to Japan, Fedor is doing god knows what. Fabricio on the shelf. And the others?
So no cards at all in September. What's up with that? Not even a Challenger's series?
One lined up in October.
And then?

Sad to say, but it seems every move they've made since they went from a profitable regional enterprise to a challenger for the big-time has backfired.
I love the org but I'm thinking...

strikeforce usually throws cards together last minute there could be a challengers card but if there not no need to worry. look at dream and sengoku they dont run events every month.

Dream is close to bankruptcy and they've openly said that. They are looking for investors.
I don't know alot about Sengoku but I think they are pretty small scale. I could be wrong though.

This.
I've have noticed this for nearly a year. I don't know if Coker is there matchmaker or not, but whoever it is, probably spends about as much time making matches as I do sleeping. That being said, if anything is to bring about the downfall of Strikeforce, it is to be this lethargic attitude they seem to have about getting things done.

Yeah, thats it. I dont know who TBA is, but they must pay him a shitload to fight like 4 times on all of their cards. His opponent is usually chosen like 3 days before the card too.

No talent is hurting them bad, the Hendo move hurt the most the Dream co-promote helped but only for two cards and now Dream is falling apart. If Dream and Sengoku don't last maybe some of their fighters can go over, they will miss out on Bibiano and Sandro the fighters over their because of not having that weight division. Aoki, Kawjiri, JZ, Santiago, Maxi Blanco should come over.

There is supposed to be a Challenger's Series Event in Fresno, Ca on October 21, 2010. Billy "Bad ***" Evangelista, Lavar "Big" Johnson and Brandon Cash "Money" headlining the show. I know its not September but its something.

I want to see Hendo and Mousasi fight. Sh*t, make'em fight each other!
I would agree with Brick, there's been some great upsets, but not good for SF's bottom line of having fighters to market. They just keep dropping like flies.

^^^ Good to know.
Coker, if you read these forums, take heed: you got to start laying out a consistent schedule. They don't all have to be blockbusters, but you need to keep a continuous presence in the community. Taking 6 weeks off between cards is a bad idea in my opinion. I'd have one EVERY three weeks. What's wrong with doing small shows in new regions of the US or even Canada? Not every card has to be profitable either ...

I'm still holding Coker to his word and looking forward to his announcement. He said would tell us what was up with Heyman in a few weeks, and it's been that so it's gotta be soon.
And if it's Heyman he's bringing on board, it won't be nickel & dime s---, I just know they have something coming. And God knows Coker & SF need it. Sheeit, Coker knows his company is in a slump, if he continues without help, @ the same quality/rate that he's been on, Brick's pic.

It's just a matter of time. SF will either be pushed back to regional shows or with sink completely.
