No, get the champ to actually defend one of the titles.

Bingo. A decision, regarding the FW belt, will have to be made in the next couple of months. If they are at an impasse, the belt has to be stripped. He is coming up on one year without a defense. If Conor wants to pull a power play, the UFC needs to move on. Conor is under contract, he is not going anywhere, and the UFC can revisit this when it comes time to strip the LW belt. Hell, I don't think Khabib is going to take anything other than a title fight. You could make Tony/Khabib for an interim belt, but if they know that Conor is set at getting what he wants, it might be best to wait and make that fight for the real belt if/when they strip him.

Make him defend the FW title at least once. Then vacate

That was last week...
I think it could actually make sense for both sides. Conor could be Dana's replacement after he's done fighting. But I'm sure it will be a long stalemate before they figure it out.

Conor, with no business background, could replace the man behind the evolution of the company. Conor, who belittles every other fighter and puts himself above all else? That ain't going to happen.
To your first point. Conors cards sell no matter who he fights. So there's no excuse to have him avoid top contenders from two divisions. So either give bitter Aldo his rematch. Or give one of the top two LWs the title shot.
As far as Aldo-Diaz. That's an interesting match up. Cause Jose is the master at Nate's kryptonite. I think Jose wins by UD. Cause Jose would instantly chop down his legs. And Nate isn't good at cutting the cage off to begin with

Do you see the irony in your post

As a figure head, face of the franchise hype man I think he'd be good. So maybe not the exact role of Dana but from what the public sees anyway.

Dana has thrown temper tantrums, but also praises fighters and helps them. Watch his post-fight press conference when he talked about Tate, it was quite sweet. He also puts the company before all else, often working 80+ hours, he loves the UFC.

A guy that talks only about himself and sees himself as bigger than the sport? Again, that makes no sense.

In trying to describe Conor you still describe Dana.
Dana had no business mind before linking up with Lorenzo.

No, he had some as he had managed fighters. And Conor lives for Conor, nobody else. For all his faults, Dana would damn near die for the UFC and, as I said, has gone out of his way to help fighters. He has a bad temper (one that seems to blow less and less as time goes on), but nobody can question his passion for the UFC.

You're severly underrating Nate at 155. MJ tried taking the leg kick route with him and failed. Aldo won't win either.
I didn't know that you believed in horseshit like the law of attraction like Conor does. lol No amount of belief is going to save Conor when he gets hit by a true WW. Stop kidding yourself. Woodley could possibly cause the first death in Octagon if this fight gets sanctioned.

Aldo's leg kicks are on an entirely different level than almost anyone in MMA currently, only couple of others I can think of that even come close.
Aldo would batter Nate's leg over and over and with him it only takes 2-3 and that leg has had it, without any movement Aldo should be able to outpoint Diaz to a decsion I would think.
Would love to see this fight happen though.

Managing fighters is not the same as the role he got.

You are correct, but the role Dana stepped into (a small company losing money with around 50 fighters that ran 6 cards a year) is very different from the one he runs today.
