Frank is one of the best ground fighters in the world. But the weight was too much and this happend.

Just because Mir got whooped at 240 doesn't mean JDS will! Two completely different fighters. For Mir to beat Lesnar (again) he's going to HAVE to come in relatively close in size and strength, JDS will not.
There are a few, maybe several, MMAist 240 and below who can beat Brock Lesnar! The huge advantages he'll almost always have, size, strength and weight... they're not insurmountable problems for every fighter out there.
who's to say a different 240er will have any better luck underneath lesnar?
mir is top 3 ground fighting heavyweights in the world and was demolished. why would fedor fare better? why would nog? why would any of them. when you say they are two different fighters, youre right. JDS is far better on his feet than mir but mir is far better thatn JDS on the ground and mir was overwhelmed. i still think brock is too much on the ground for guys that small. carwin will pester lesnar but i believe he too will lose. that much strength and size is too much to overcome
Chances are he wouldn't... nobody is arguing that the Massive size advantage Lesnar has that no other fighter in the UFC enjoys, will be easy to overcome. But that God awful stand up he has WILL be exposed as soon as he fights...well, someone with some good stand up. He's been very fortunate in the match ups so far... except for the first Frank loss. His inexperience was too much for his size to over come. Now he's experienced a bit more, a guy like Frank needs to come close to matching Brocks size and strength...as it looks like he's working on.
None of this is real difficult to figure out..... I think you're looking for some major Lesnar love, maybe a Lesnar Tribute Thread? If so, go start one by all means! I'll post in it.

because Frank Mir is overrated, thats right I said it.
there was a guy name Randy Couture, he was 46 years old, and 60 pounds lighter than Brock. he gave Brock a run for his money, he actually fought Brock better than Mir. I actually think he won that first round.
JDS striking is just awesome, he is one of the best fighters in UFC HW division, he has wins over Werdum, Crocop and Yvel, thats damn good resume. He should start getting some respect. I think JDS would beat the s**t out of Mir and Velasquez. He trains with both Nogs, Anderson, Machida and has trained with Shogun. If he goes on every day with the best UFC has, then he is not intimidated by anyone out there.

God damn dude you don’t miss a beat!
Did Frank steal your girlfriend once or refuse to sign an autograph or something? Seriously, you must be making the hateraide not just drinking it.

Why would he want to cut weight? Fedor is a soft 230, and is head and shoulders better than any HW out there. 280 pounds doesn't make your chin any better. JDS lays hs hands on any HW in the world and he can KO them.

What is with the fedor/dos santos comparisons .. If Brock took Dos Santos to the ground, game over (Hold Down plus GnP).. If he took Fedor to the ground he possibly gets submitted .. There is a big difference in a 230ish pound HW that can strike and has good subs and one who has only shown his ability to strike (not saying he can't do anything else, just haven't seen much of it)

It's a comparison in weight, nothing else. And how can you speak so matter-of-factly on JDS's ground game when we have seen zero of his abilities on the ground because every second of every fight in the UFC that he has had has been in the standing position. :?

well there is also a big difference between Fedor and everyone else. Mir can strike and has good submissions and we saw what happened to him.
Obviously want to see him againts a wrestler, but I think JDS is the real deal, I think he is at least the 4th best UFC HW behind Lesnar, Carwin, and Nog

Well, I disagree with you slightly. I think the 4 best HWs in the division are JDS, Lesnar, Mir, and Velasquez/Nog winner. I think Carwin loses to all of those guys.

JDS needs to fight Cain in my books, that will ruin the Cain hype, and show people that JDS has some good grappling skills.
I would love to see JDS fight Fedor, I think JDS has the tools to throwdown with him and could even come out with a win.
CALL ME CRAZY.

I'm just as impressed with Junior as everyone else, but... Beating an over the hill Cro Cop and knocking out Werdum doesn't mean he can beat Fedor. Kongo beat Cro Cop too! That means he can bear Fedor!

NO, that happened cause MURRRR forgot how to use his guard, u know 2 legs wrapped around your opponent's waist to put yourself in a defensive as well as offensive position???
this wasnt the first time MURRRR forgot, remember the vera MURRRR fight?? vera had his arm pinned behind his head, holding onto the bicep doing the exact same thing. watch it again bro.

But Kongo has proven not too hot as of lately, and I am pretty sure we can both agree that JDS would murder Kongo.
I never said Junior would beat Fedor, I certainly think he could though, and not just because he beat an over the hill Cro Cop, or knocking out a dumpy Werdum(Man he was dumpy in that fight).
The guy has a solid set of skills, and you will see what I am talking about when they feed him in with Cain or someone that is top 5.
