I'll go with Sonnen. Considering how he handled Anderson better than anyone before, and absolutely destoryed Brian Stann, I think that triumphs Munoz' lack luster performance against Mia and win over Leben.

But at the same time Munoz is a fresh face to challenge for the title, is on a 4 fight win streak, and is 7-1 at Middleweight with his only loss being a split decision to Okami.

A win over Leben is not that big of an accomplishment. Sure he always has a punchers chance but lets face it, he is on the back 9 of his career. Always had the talent but never put it together. The new breed of fast well rounded fighters just push the pace for him too much.
His most recent wins are over Simpson, Sexiama, Wanderlai. Wanderlai was the only guy in the top 10 when it happened and his style was perfect for Leben. Anyone with wrestling and half a brain can defeat Leben

Chaels wrestling would make Munoz's wrestling look worse then Chael's made Okami's or Okami's made Munoz's. Munoz is good but his MMA wrestling is not as good as Chaels.

This right here makes no sense.
1. Chael has already lost to Anderson and Munoz hasn't. That right there should be able one reason to put Munoz ahead of Sonnen
2. Your saying his only loss since 2009. That in itself is skewing it. He didn't fight for what 1 year after he
LOST
to Silva and in that time frame Munoz went what 3-0 and was able to beat a guy that dominated Sonnen in Maia.
3. Sonnen's UFC record 5-4 (5-3 at MW) Since January 2009 (3-2)
Munoz's UFC record 7-2 (7-1 at MW) Since January 2009 (7-2)

But Sonnen got a title shot since Marquardt and Okami, so I don't know that people should keep using those wins to justify
another
title shot.
Right now, I don't think either is deserving of a title shot. Munoz needs to face more top competition, Sonnen needs to work his way back up.

Sonnen 100%. Showed he can hang with Silva and then beat Stann. Prior to that he was on a 3 fight win streak which included Okami/Marquardt. Two other guys that fought for the title.
He can also single-handedly sell the fight.......
plus I don't give Munoz a chance in hell against Silva, his chin is suspect and Silva won't be an easy takedown.

anyone with a brain knows it was no split it was a clear cut unanimous decision judges are morons okami stuffed like 19 takedowns and dropped munoz
