The Association for Ringside Physicians supports eleimination of TRT in MMA.
“The incidence of hypogonadism requiring the use of testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) in professional athletes is extraordinarily rare. Accordingly, the use of an anabolic steroid such as testosterone in a professional boxer or mixed martial artist is rarely justified. Steroid use of any type, including unmerited testosterone, significantly increases the safety and health risk to combat sports athletes and their opponents. TRT in a combat sports athlete may also create an unfair advantage contradictory to the integrity of sport. Consequently, the Association of Ringside Physicians supports the general elimination of therapeutic use exemptions (TUE) for testosterone replacement therapy.” – Association of Ringside Physicians

And now Dana White is against the use of TRT as well...at least for now!
UFC President Dana White is all for a change. Or at least, that’s what he says now that the Association of Ringside Physicians has
called for a ban on therapeutic-use exemptions
(TUEs) for testosterone-replacement therapy (TRT).
“The doctors came out and said they want to ban it?” White said to the
Associated Press
on Monday. “Well, that’s the answer.”

It is long time that trt was made illegal in MMA. It is a foreign substance used to gain an extra edge while training. How is that not cheating?

I'm no fan of Dana but to say he wasn't always strongly against TRT is wrong
He's been very clear on his stance that TRT is being abused and should not be allowed in the UFC or any other sport
Although how much he's actually done about it only he and the commission know.

In August of 2012, however, he lauded TRT as “absolutely 100 percent legal.”
“As sports medicine continues to advance, this is one of those things where every guy’s testosterone level starts to drop as they get older, and this is basically sports science now where they can bring it back up to a normal level,” White told
FOX Sports
. “And I think it’s great. It’s absolutely fair. It’s legal.”
Again, that was then. It was “absolutely fair” in 2012. This week, according to White’s comments to the AP, the “whole TRT thing, I think, is unfair.”

The article is garbage and is confusing not liking it vs. not being able to do anything about it so needing to accept that it's "fair" and legal.

No, he most certainly wasn't... Hell, he was the one approving it for a guy who was previously popped to help him concuss top ten fighters in his homeland of Brazil so they could pull in TV ratings... He went as far as saying it was completely fair and legal and that people shouldn't worry about it because they are testing the s--- out of the fighters using it. He has flip flopped on the issue repeatedly, that is a fact. He also was approving it for all kinds of guys when the UFC was acting as it's own commision in foreign lands... Doesn't sound like someone who is against TRT to me...

Dana is basically a jellyfish. He just goes where the current takes him when the current shifts against his own beliefs, well, he just goes with it hoping the currents shift again and take him back and then he can say he has always felt that way.

You're 100% right! At the end of the day we must realize that he is a business man, and making money is the name of the game. He could care less what his fighters are doing, as long as they don't get caught and ruined his PPV!

the other angle on this is the "anti aging" industry and how it's perceived in the medical field
side note, i find it funny that 2 HW's that criticized the reem are on TRT one of which failed a test before and recently got popped for having elevated T levels

most heavyweights do SOMETHING
whether it's TRT or straight up HGH
The sport of MMA truely lives in the 135->155 weight divisions

It's fine and dandy for the Anti Aging Clinics to cater to the middle aged man, but if you're an active "Proffesional Athlete" in one of these clinics, then we got problems!!
