Political Correctness

If you look at some of the responses by certain people, now saying "I'm here to perform not to influence anyone" is controversial and cowardice

LOVE Hetfield. I paid a ton of cash to go to Vegas to see this show... the last thing I want to hear is Lars preaching to be about the Middle East. Stay in your lane and rock the fuck out. Word up Papa Het.

In Shane's defense... it's his 3rd time hosting and he's selling out NFL stadiums. I'm guessing his mindset was less, "Man, this is it... I need to pour everything into this and kill it, this will be my big break!" and more, "What? You want me to host again? Fine, I'll do Lorne a favor and kick off the season for them"

When I watched it that's the way it came across to me. Effort-wise it felt like a kid who waited till 30 minutes before the assignment was due to start writing it.

Not saying that's good or that top tier comedians should approach hosting network shows that way... but, it just feels like that is what happened and if you look at it in that context it's even more of a nothingburger.
it's ok to hit the woke reaction button. they put that tool on the table. but once you remove the reactions and hysteria, there's nothing there but gym joke that could have been told in 1998

Unfortunately the palestinians refused, they want Paris and everything else from the ocean to the sea
The only thing France lacks is the most important thing in politics: decision. What France lives with today is what its own people have chosen. Policies of political inclusion without cultural assimilation of hordes of barbarians have torn the French DEMOS to shreds.Rebuilding it is only possible by expelling the barbarians and culturally assimilating those who have the will to civilize themselves. That requires strength; but first, it requires decision.Only true Frenchmen can save France from its enemies, who today, paradoxically, also carry a little piece of paper that says “French citizen.”

WHAT A MASTERFUL LESSON delivered to Lola, a student and far-left activist, who tries to justify the looting and vandalism of businesses!

"You have no idea how lucky you are. You have things to lose. The people in these protests, us, we have nothing to lose."

Before adding, with stunning contempt:

"Your little shops, that's cute, great, OK, the Foot Lockers that got looted, but actually there's a reality, real suffering of the French."

The heartbreaking response from an entrepreneur who arrived in France at just 9 years old after fleeing the Democratic Republic of Congo, and who now regularly employs 130 people:

"When I arrived here, I had a choice, okay, to endure a situation or to get back up."

And responding to her with immense emotion:

"You're talking to me about misery, you're telling me: I cry because my storefront is broken, but this is my life, Lola. This is my life. I have children."

"I have employees who are terrified. What answer can I give them?"

On one side, an activist invoking social suffering to downplay the looting. On the other, a woman who left her country, built her business, created jobs, and sees the fruit of her labor destroyed.

Social distress gives no one the right to loot, vandalize, or destroy the work of others.

A true lesson in courage, dignity, and responsibility.
