Will the next customer rob or stab you? The collapse of downtown Los Angeles

With 40% of office space vacant, blocks of shuttered storefronts and homelessness on the rise, downtown Los Angeles is struggling ahead of the Olympics, though one developer says the district will eventually recover and thrive again

Tl;dr - it's meaningful but symbolic, can't force him to do anything with it

There is certainly a gray area.

But here is what I can tell you. If Trump blatantly ignores Congress telling him to cease all Iranian military activities, there is a distinct possibility that not only will he lose both the House and the Senate in November, he may give them a veto majority shift, meaning the first appropriations bill in January 2027 will literally say something like "No military spending can be used for any military action against Iran, the Persian Gulf, and the Strait of Hormuz". And even if they do not get the needed seats, the majority is enough to turn off the purse for the entire country and if you do not think the Democrats would do that, you have not been paying attention.

Trump biggest concern from here on is losing both the House and the Senate, because that means he will be a "lame duck" for the final two years of his term as President. Not to mention, if both the House and Senate go to Democrat control, there will be investigations upon investigations on him and his family.
I feared that Trump is "kind of" tin he same political situation as LBJ during the Vietnam War (minus the boots on the ground).

LBJ: "I feel like a hitchhiker caught in a hailstorm on a Texas highway. I can't run, I can't hide and I can't make it stop."

It is all but a forgone conclusion that both chambers will flip. The House is lost, imo. Only 3 seats are needed and interim elections have never gone well for incumbents. The Senate is going to be at best a 50/50. Maine will flip Collins' seat and Maine will be lost to reds forever. Paxton will probably lose in Texas. Roy Cooper, former D governor of NC will most likely win in NC. The Reps have to win Georgia to have any shot of keeping the Senate.

I'd actually prefer a lame duck session for Trump. He deserves it after his complete reversal of his campaign promises after Charlie Kirk was killed (who would have been a very, very vocal opponent of the reversal).

Don't look now, but Nythia Ramen is SURGING in the polls (multiple days after the election ended).

Spencer Pratt about to get served up a classic California screwjob.

No she hasn't

She has only gained 1-2% over the past 24 hours

Pratt still ahead by 6%

It's still worrying but she needs 33k votes more than him out of the remaining 270k, won't be easy

Huh?

I just said that she was SURGING (seemed to be the buzzword in the media) and Pratt could be getting set up for the 11th hour rugpull.

It's also wild that only 64% of ballots have been counted IN A LOCAL ELECTION.

This idea that it takes nearly a week for mail to travel within LA county is absurd.
