So have you? I personally have lost all respect for him and his talent. I don't want to see a Ignorant, cocky, outlandish man not train than go into a fight thinking his natural gift will pull him through it and than COMPLAIN about losing to a far superior fighter.
For him to complain this much and for his lawyer to tell St. Pierre's camp "We will meet in court" is just ridiculous. These guys have lives BJ they don't have time to come to meetings because you cry about little things.

It's not even f---ing close.
I used to think he was a good, no take that back, great fighter with a poor attitude.
Now to me he is MMA's biggest joke. Anyone who brings their mom to speak in front of the commission or acts as two faced as he has recently gets no respect from me. How people respect the pore loser is beyond me. So what if GSP and his corner made a little mistake. Did it really play a factor for Penn getting murdered everywhere the fight went? That's what I thought.

What astonishes me were the requests, more like demands BJ and his crew made. 250 000 fine, 5+ month suspension, Fining the camp who does he think he is? Just embarrassing to be him.

Hardcore MMA fans are the only ones that know about this complaint, and you are taking like he is the most hated person on the planet. You may have lost respect for him, but 99% of his fans are still his fans. I'm sure he is at home crying because you no longer like him though. :roll:

I can't respect BJ Penn as a person but I will always recognize him as an extremely talented fighter.

No, not really. It's not really relevant, in my opinion, whether anyone respects him as a person. And, none of us really knows B.J., after all, so who the hell are we to criticize him personally?
And it makes even less sense to say you've lost respect "for his talent." Aside from the fact that talent remains constant, so if you once respected it you still do, losing to GSP doesn't damage his reputation as a fighter at all. GSP was ranked ahead of him in p4p before the fight, and is ranked higher still. BJ lost to a better, and more importantly BIGGER, fighter. He's still the best at 155 in the world.
As far as losing respect because of the complaint, I think he's really convinced he got cheated, so no, I don't lose respect.

But not because he filed a complaint with the NSAC. I actually gained a little respect for him for doing that. Because he was completely right to do so
I lost respect for the fact that he didn't train as hard as he could have/should have for such a fight.

You can lose respect for his cockiness, his attitude, his lack of training for the big fights. But, you cannot lose respect for his talent!
Also, GSP WAS greasing!!! GSP smashed Penn, either way. No doubt about it. But, what he did wasn't right, and anyone who thinks he didn't know what was happening is a damn fool!

what happened during (or after) the fight that made you dislike BJ? I understand people who didn't like BJ or rabid GSP fans hating him for complaining about GSP cheating, but if you were a fan......? I wasn't a "big" fan of BJ before the fight but I totally understand why he did/does what he did/does. Call me naive, but I don't get the hate Penn gets for calling shenanigans when someone breaks the rules. Or was it something else?

Simple He just took everything to far. To say some one is a "Quitter" than to do the same thing and COMPLAIN about it non stop like a little baby sums it up.

i didnt actually read the article but i dont think she actually talked to the NCAS on what should happen... she was just quoted saying something if they are listening or i hope they do
stuff happens in MMA people "cheat" or do something stupid that changes the outcome of the fight
(IF YOU REMEMBER WHEN KOSCHECK FOUGHT GSP.... GSP HAD A SOLID KIMURA LOCKED IN AND KOSCHECK HELD HIS SHORTS SO GSP COULDNT PULL IT BEHIND KOSCHECKS BACK AND GET THE SUBMISSION VICTORY - WHICHED PISSED ME OFF SOMETHING FIERCE!!!)
- in this case it was HUGE FIGHT! not jst some undercard crap AND GSP had been warned about this in prior fights and inbetween rounds of the actual fight...
LET THEM DO ONE MORE TIME AND SETTLE IT FOR EVER!

i skimmed through it and this caught my eye

i think that guy needs a swift kick to the nuts for that comment from BJs mom cause that guy just sounds like a tool bag
