Title says it all, apparently Anderson said he would like to fight Roy Jones Jr. in the square circle after his MMA career. Roy has a reply

what do you guys think? personally I think Andersons limbs are to long and Roy would be put to shame, very sad to say because he is my favorite boxer of all time.

Sorry but rjj has the glass jaw of glass jaws. In his prime he was one of the best ever, and i would even say top 10 of all time. But now he needs to stay ring side, he is one man that should not take anymore hits to the head.

In a boxing match, even with diminished skills, I can't count Roy out. Maybe I'm having a flashback to when Jones was untouchable, but AS Aint no spring chicken either. 10 to 12 rds of boxing is a lot different than a 3 to 5 rd MMA match. Either way part of me says Just say No, while the other part says Set it up and see what happens. Probably a pretty big PPV if marketed well

You guys are crazy to completely rule out Roy Jones in his own discipline. In a straight up kickboxing match then I'll take the Spider all day long by crippling him with kicks while staying on the outside with fast footwork, but in boxing(only) when he's not in threat of a takedown, I don't care how bad Roys chin is or that how good of a MMA fighter Silva is HE WILL NOT BEAT ROY JONES JUNIOR IN A BOXING MATCH lol.
I love the Spider but this is crazy talk, Roy will school him into another dimension in boxing IMO..

Yup. In a fight Spider by murder, but Roy will box the s--- out of him in that sport with those rules.

When was the last time any of u saw rjj box? Last time I saw him it was for some no name title, aganist an unranked Australian who ko rjj in the first. Sorry, but prime rjj all day. Right now AS would breath on him and its over. rjj has no speed left, and no jaw. Pleases go and watch some rjj from his last five or six fights, he is not even 1% of the boxer you are thinking of.

By no means do I think Roy is at the level he was, but the man Is still
Winning boxing matches against Pro Boxers, Silva has great hands but I'm not sure he beats
VITOR in a straight boxing match

Currently the only good MMA fighter still active, who was considered a Boxing prospect was Vitor Belfort, who could have represented Brasil in the Olympics if he had chosen that path instead of MMA. Many boxing experts felt he possibly would have taken home a medal even

It doesn't matter what DW thinks if AS isn't under contract, and as far as RJ Is concerned, he is actually currently the Intercontinental Cruiserweight Champion wich may not mean much to you, but AS couldn't win any title in Boxing, and It hurts me to dis on the Spider In any capacity, for I have nothing but the utmost RESPECT for him as a MMArtist but Pro Boxer...he Aint

I know your not stupid and you know he signed a 10 fight deal he's going to be with Zuffa into his 40s at least, so Dana has a say in this because time is running out for Andy in his professional career. If he does the 10 fights who knows.. RJJ is a dangerous fighter to anyone. , seriously though let MMA fighters stick to MMA and boxers stick to boxing if any fighter from them 2 sports cross over they will lose, apples and oranges really. I should of included not to disrespect RJJ or his skills

the last I heard, and maybe something has changed since, but he didn't sign the 10 fight deal, but if he did then obviously this is all BS, which it probably is any way. I agree that in almost every case, Boxer/MMA Fighter wins in their chosen combat Specialty. There's always a slight possibility of one or the other landing a KO blow and pull off an "upset" but that's about it
