Forgive me if I'm wrong but wasn't it Ando that wanted to fight Roy Jones in a boxing match in the first place?, not to mention Roy Jones being 6 years older than Anderson. By the time if it ever came I think jones will the the one that is the most disadvantaged. It might be an old interview but I'm sure I glanced at a article last week with Ando saying he wants Jones next after Weidman and it's not Jon but Roy Jones.

Bro Glen Johnson is a multiple former world champion. If Anderson Silva just decided to quit MMA to become a boxer with the ambition of becoming a world champion pro boxer then it's more than likely he WOULDN'T win a one. Since when has Ando been this world class boxer all of a sudden?, when he came into the gym to train with Freddie Roach he got hit more off a pro just starting out in a sparring session and Freddie didn't know what the fuss was about. That was until he triangled Sonnen and kicked Vitor in the face and Freddie was like ok now I get it, but that's for MMA. NOT BOXING..
This is getting ridiculous. MMA AND TAEKWONDO WILL NOT WORK IN A BOXING MATCH WITH ONE OF THE BEST BOXERS OF ALL TIME EVEN THOUGH HE'S PAST HIS BEST.......

Glen Johnson was a "Journeyman" who won some diminished Belts in a diminished sport Bottom line,
And I am not saying that AS is a Great Boxer. But Do you actually think Anderson could not hit RJJ in his diminished state Well Thats Hooey IMO Pugalism or not.
And Roy at least currently has a Glass Jaw and turns out when roy reached a point in his career that you actually could hit him<He couldn't take a punch.
Roy was great when there were not alot of other greats.
If he had fought Hagler, Hearns,Robinson or Ray Leonard He would of lost to all of them IMO.

This is not a comparison to Hearns Hagler etc, this is not what were talking about. Glen Johnson won the IBF world title and has came close to winning more in title shots, he's fought the best and if you think that someone like that is a "Jouneyman" then I'm afraid we are worlds apart from understanding what the word actually means.
Anyways how many fighters that are versed in Taekwondo, MMA, Karate, Kickboxing etc have just come into boxing and not only won world titles but even just did well???, I'll tell ya NOBODY, and the reason isn't about chin, heart, power it's about boxing skill and experience. Ando is a fighter but he's not a boxer. Roy Jones knows it all, if AS just had 1 sparring session with Jones then he'll know that he shouldn't take that fight(I promise). Roy is past it and has a glass jaw, so fuk hes still winning against Ando.

first of all you don't have a clue how a prime RJ would have done against the GREAT Fighters used in your' examples, simply your' OPINION, unless they fought its all BLAH,Blah,blah! That's the reason comparing fighters from different eras is pointless!

@Gongbong.. Roy Jones Junior was once the p4p best boxer on the planet and fighter of the decade(90s). Obviously he's not the same fighter today but he still has the skill to tool someone that is not in the same profession..

The facts are its amatter of opinion on if AS could KO the current Roy.
But its sad to here you try and build up a guy(Johnson) that fought in such a "down" era for boxing and still wasn't supposed to even come close to beating Roy. Hell it was Roys Come Back fight after the Tarver KO . He wasn't nearly as good as your tryng to make him out to be.
You can't try & make me feel wrong cause I think One of the top mma (hands) strikers just

stand a chance against a Current Roy Jones Jr.

I know boxing is a completely different beast than mma striking but to say someone with the speed and accuracy of the spider has zero chance against anyone striking is just silly. I am not saying he will win but he always will have a chance.
