Sad but not unexpected. I think he had some "Extra Time" afforded to him by having his surgery at DMC.
When they said he was trying to get his replacement picked sooner than later I figured he would be dead sooner than later.

IMo, aggressive brain cancer is pretty tragic and not an easy way to go.

True, but compared to getting shot, running into a tree, or crashing your plane several decades before your "time" to go, it is a little easier to take for the family, I would think.

Plus, the family actually had time to prepare for a death. It sounds bad, and i understand its never easy, but if you know its coming, which in this case, it was a sooner rather than later thing, its easier to brace your fall.

exactly my point.
yes, cancer sucks, but isnt a sudden, tragic or a horrible death way early making it to 77 is pretty da*m good nowdays.
