The Springfield Kuna won big in 2025—but does it still hold up? We tested it suppressed with multiple loads to find out.

Today we’re revisiting one of the biggest new product launches of 2025 to see if it’s still worthy of the hype. This 9mm pistol-caliber carbine quietly entered a crowded market in 2025 and immediately turned heads and won awards. Several media organizations voted it Best New PCC of 2025 and Gun of the Year, and after running it suppressed with four different 147 grain loads, it’s not hard to understand why. Springfield built this gun in partnership with HS Produkt of Croatia, the same engineering team behind the XD, Echelon, and Hellion bullpup. The result is a roller-delayed PDW-style PCC that brings HK MP5 energy to a sub-$1,200 price point.

I picked up an Omen Watchmen and put a Leupold Mark 5HD 7-35x56 scope on it. I was hitting 1000 yard steel with ease. This video is a bit goofy but it shows the capabilities quite well

Ya man I remember those days. I went a several years without hunting or shooting when my daughters were young. Now they are all grown up the youngest is 21 so I built a 100 yard range at my house for pistol and small rifle. I have a friend that has a property where I can shoot out to 1600 yards. We have steel targets every 100 yards out to 1600.

I can't wait to teach my oldest to shoot. A few more years.... As soon as she is old enough for a BB gun, I will be happier buying her one than I ever am buying something for me. Having a range on my own my own property will be extremely satisfying when I can make that happen.

Absolutely, I taught all of my girls how to shoot. My 3rd daughter was the top female trap shooter in the Nation in 2019. She tied for 12th co-ed at Nationals in Mason Michigan that year. She was a Junior and planned to win the whole thing her senior year but the scamdemic happened and they canceled Nationals in 2020. She had a full ride scholarship offer at Lindenwood University but she decided to work for me instead.

It was the same with Kshama Sawant, or however you spell her name. She was on the city council when I lived there and was an admitted hardcore communist. She was wildly popular with with the Gen Z crowd. These people are obsessed with the idea that "taxing the rich" and making minimum wage astronomically high will solve all problems and create utopia. These charlatans sell these idiots what they want to hear, and Seattle has been badly declining for many years now because of it. That city was naturally prosperous, with so many major companies growing from the region. Now these fucking morons want to tear that all down and put up tenements everywhere.

If I was in charge, those two pieces of human filth would be hanged. Anyone attacking the elderly like that deserves death.

I'm just coming out of this, my youngest is now 13. I got some gun cleaning to do so I can get back out there. Haven't shot in 3+ years. Hell, my go-to range a few miles from my house hath closed. And .308 is 2-3x the cost it was.

Get a pistol caliber carbine. Easy to teach rifle fundamentals, cheap ammo, low recoil for young shooters. There's always .22, but that's isn't so cheap these days.

I usually go 1000 rounds at a time but I click on the 500-1000 filter because I have found sometimes its cheaper to buy (2) 500 round than it is to get (1) 1000.
