With your category, say a person was in the music industry in some capacity, but not famous for it. They then go on to become famous in a different field before focusing primarily on music. It's possible that music connections are what got them noticed by the field in which they became famous. Is this completely against what you were going for or not? Were you meaning people that have no verifiable music connections before becoming a celebrity?

As far as nominations, we're just talking for acting? Say they were part of a nomination as an executive producer or whatnot, does that shit count?

I hadn't really thought of that scenario, but I was picturing a celebrity or athlete that were already known and then tried their hand at music. But I would say that if that person was already playing music but then got known for acting or basketball or whatever, and then that lead to their music getting recognized, that would be fine. I thought of one person that it applies to, and I'm betting you're thinking of the same person as well.
