Didn't Bones Jones almost break his foot, while Rampage blocked a crescent kick of his?

I didn't remember Jones throwing a crescent kick in that fight, but you say he almost broke his own foot doing it?
I just think it would be so much harder to generate any kind of power compared the type of leg kicks that use the shin bone instead of the foot.

'The Twister' Chan Sung Jung pulled off against Leonard Garcia was really unusual and impressive.

Oh and the 'Peruvian neck tie' Brad Pickett used in his WEC debut was a bit different as well.

As soon as gsp goes airborne seems like Hughes could have just let go and rolled out.

Jab.
The number of fighters who can really use the jab effectively can probably be counted on 1 hand. One of the most important punches in boxing and MMA fighters seem to ignore it & try to throw KO shots without setting it up.

Cruz
Edgar
Anderson
GSP
Bisping
Junior
Penn
Nick Diaz
That right there is eight guys off the top of my head. It's not as rare as it was say 3 years ago. People are slowly learning the importance.

I disagree with Cruz & Penn, but even then, that's really not a lot of fighters who use their jab well. For someone like Stefan Struve, utilising his jab could see him become a top 10 fighter, but the we've been saying for years that he needs to learn how to control distance.

He could have at least tried hip escaping, if not rolling out...

When you have your opponent in a submission, tap your own leg real quick. And tell the ref "Look, he tapped." This may only work if you are fighting someone with a similar skin tone.

I really don't understand why he would do that...
In no way would he end in an improved position.

During a ground struggle, grab your opponent by the wrist and FORCE HIM TO TAP!! If the ref is not paying attention, you can get the W
