Will Reza Pahvlavi visit Iran this year?Meanwhile the meter keeps running and gas keeps increasing in cost. Complete disaster for everyone (except the people who placed Kalshi wagers on oil price spikes minutes before major announcements from Trump, good for them)

Did his replacement manage to survive for only 10 days?
IDF attempted to assassinate Muhammad Oudeh, successor to Izz al-Din Kassab, in Gaza
The IDF attacked in the Gaza Strip in an attempt to assassinate Muhammad Oudeh, the new leader of Hamas's military wing. In a joint statement by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Defense Minister Israel Katz, it was reported that Oudeh is one of the architects of the October 7 massacre: "Oudeh served as head of Hamas's intelligence headquarters at the time of the massacre and was appointed about a week ago as the successor to Izz al-Din Kassab, who was killed in an IDF strike in the Gaza Strip about two weeks ago. We will continue to pursue anyone who took part in the October 7 massacre. Sooner or later, Israel will get them all."

yup. we're approaching $7/gallon here. spare me with the bullshit and headlines, I get my updates from the posted prices at the gas station.I'll believe one of these market moving headlines when the blockade is lifted and our forces start to make their way home or get repositioned elsewhere in the world.
Until then... yawn
Passing 5.20 at most places here. And I just got a letter from my electric company that bills are going up by 50%yup. we're approaching $7/gallon here. spare me with the bullshit and headlines, I get my updates from the posted prices at the gas station.
The offramps are getting shorter and further apart. This has to stop.Passing 5.20 at most places here. And I just got a letter from my electric company that bills are going up by 50%
Is this because of the war?from my electric company that bills are going up by 50%
Yep. Our local utility relies heavily on oil and diesel. Normally in this situation they can pivot to natural gas, but there was a huge shortage this past year apparently, and they also burned through all of their reserve oil with our nearly record breaking frigid winter we just had. Triple whammy has them jacking up bills dramatically. Is this because of the war?
Absolutely atrocious handling of the conflict. I was against it initially, but if we were going to do this, it needed to be fast, efficient, and ruthless. We should have started taking islands and coastal territory until they cried for mercy. Instead, we have a real estate negotiator thinking he can talk his way into victory. The offramps are getting shorter and further apart. This has to stop.
