WAR

I bet they had no idea where they were taking fire from. And a significant percentage of Russian soldiers fighting in Ukraine now are old men and others who have no place on a battlefield and no mind for warfare. This could have been a couple of kids or geriatrics.
I think a large portion of them is not even Russian

They do save the better units to future more important fights from my understanding

Trump: Gaza Peace Council reaches historic agreement for complete disarmament of Hamas

U.S. President Donald Trump wrote on his Truth Social platform that "the Gaza Peace Council has achieved a historic agreement regarding the complete disarmament of Hamas and all other armed groups in the Strip." According to him, "This is a monumental step forward toward sustainable peace and security." Trump added: "Israel will have the security it deserves. Gaza will no longer serve as a base for terrorist attacks. The threat posed from the Gaza Strip on October 7 will not be rebuilt."

It's crazy when you consider how high that ballistic trajectory had to be, and how far over the target he would be holding to account for drop. His sight picture was probably high into the sky.
fuckin 2.5 miles, jesus

I have effectively zero faith that they seriously intend to give up anything. It's always a game.

With the same conclusion everyone here already has:
How can you ever trust Hamas?

Lebanese president: Powerful Beaufort explosions caused earthquake, 'dangerous escalation'

Lebanese President Joseph Aoun condemned the IDF's bombing of Hezbollah's tunnel infrastructure in Beaufort last night, claiming that "the powerful explosions constitute a very dangerous escalation and a direct threat to the framework agreement process." According to him, it involves "targeted bombings against infrastructure and archaeological sites registered as UNESCO World Heritage sites." His office stated that the powerful explosions caused an earthquake measuring 3.8 in southern Lebanon, and that in his view, it constitutes "a very dangerous escalation and a blatant violation of existing commitments. Gaza deal explained: Who will control weapons, how Hamas disarmament will be verified

The road to Gaza disarmament: Hamas would surrender weapons, tunnels and production sites to a monitored committee; A Board of Peace official says Israel is only asked to honor the deal and give the process a chance

I'm assuming this all part of a plan to influence Trump. They know how to make him jump and I believe this all to string us along and drive a wedge between us and Israel.
SCHOOL of WAR: "Trump is not looking for the best solution. He is looking for the fastest solution. The Navy has about 20% of it's destroyers in the Central Command area of responsibility. They could probably at any one time get 40% of destroyers underway, maybe 50%, you know, for combat operations. Um, and but they are unwilling to do it because they are worried about the readiness burn on the backside."
Mark Montgomery, Senior Director of the Center on Cyber and Technology Innovation at the Foundation for Defense of Democracies and a retired U.S. Navy Rear Admiral

The ship was decommissioned. This is common for testing of munitions or tactics. It's far, far cheaper to sink it than to disassemble it in a dry dock, and they get tangible benefits at the same time. Win/win.
I assumed so but why not re-use all the parts for something
