WAR

Prediction, Ethiopia cleans up the rebel groups in the coming months, and war with Eritrea and Somalia does break out. The latter is resolved quickly with Ethiopia gaining Somaliland as a semi-autonomous republic within a federated Ethiopia. War with Eritrea is then fought for several years with Ethiopia taking about a third of Eritrea's eastern coast.

I don't see a scenario where either nation resists Ethiopia for much long, even if Turkey supplies either Eritrea or Somalia with drones. Ethiopia has more manpower and active duty (many battled hardened) and the prospect of getting sea access overturns the sting of any possible UN condemnations or sanctions (which have been increasingly seen as useless).

This kind of wars is for hardcores only...

Need to see the final results but this is going to be messy

The only possible coalition (unless something unusual happens) would if the "change bloc" + the more moderate Arab party Ra'am get 61 seats, according to the exit polls they have 59-60

And even then most of the change bloc don't want them in the coalition

Israel election exit polls: Opposition edges Netanyahu, Likud largest as Arab parties surge

Channel 12 projects 52 seats for the change bloc against Netanyahu's 50, while Channel 13 gives it 53; Arab parties win 17-18 seats, leaving neither main bloc with a majority as smaller parties fall below the electoral threshol d

It's more likely now that Netanyahu's bloc will end up with more than what the exit polls suggested (but still short of 60 seats), so what's written above won't happen

Israel election results: Netanyahu bloc holds at 54, Eisenkot rises to 49 as Arab parties fall to 17

With 77.6% of votes counted, Likud leads with 27 seats as Eisenkot's Yashar! rises to 22; Arab parties fall to 17 seats, while Netanyahu's bloc holds at 54 and Eisenkot's climbs to 49, leaving neither camp with a majority

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's right-wing and religious bloc stood at 54 projected seats Wednesday afternoon, leaving it seven seats short of the 61 required to form a government. The rival bloc led by former military chief Gadi Eisenkot held 49 seats, while the predominantly Arab parties had a combined 17, leaving neither main political camp with a parliamentary majority.

Is Israel barreling toward another election? 5 scenarios after dramatic night

Updated projections show no clear path to governing coalition, with repeat elections increasingly likely; Netanyahu-led unity government, defections from opposition and Eisenkot minority government remain possible but face major political obstacles

Eisenkot needs the Arabs. Which won't happen. So Mileikowski maintains control while another election is..... forthcoming?. ...
When ?
.....good question.🤔

He can go with the moderate Arabs (Ra'am) but even then they're far from a majority and only 16% of the votes left to count

The more radical Arabs nobody wants they don't even care about their own people only Gaza

Either another elections or they agree on something like rotation but last time they did it Bibi played them and it fell apart so that's also unlikely

Shame on religion and resources governing decisions of politicians making war, when those who make the decisions never suffer the consequences. My good and wonderful Palestinian friend and her kind and generous family were bombed out of their home, fled to Syria, were forced out of Syria, went to redacted redacted redacted redacted redacted and are now somewhere safe. She is afraid to wear her keffiyeh in public, but is shunned and feels enormous guilt because of both this fear and her shame. She has a sibling, two, with severe disabilities, one of whom had to be carried through this nightmare trek when a wheelchair weren't an option.

Don't think I'm naive. I'm cognizant of all sides of conflict. But please, don't forget that if one child is blown up in a drone strike, it's a media frenzy and a "thoughts and prayers" tragedy. When thousands die, it's a statistic. Those statistics are families caught in the middle of a political land grab/dick measuring conflict where it's easy to forget that collateral damage can also be your family and babies, sooner than you think possible.

Well Herzog leans center-left traditionally but more center as president. So when the ballots are done being counted he'll meet with all elected parties. Get their input
on who should get the mandate.
Then pick one or the other

Mileikowski fell short of a majority.
And theres no obvious avenue to recruit those numbers.
While Eisenkot can present a more unified bloc.

Herzog getting firmly pressed outta that comfy center position he's had the last few years lol.

Traditionally Herzog doesn't align with. The Shas and the UTJ. 2 of which Mileikowski does and would align closely with moving forward.

Herzog has all the pull atm.

What's the deal with "mileikowski"? Is that a dig or something? I had to google it, nobody calls him that

Anyway impressed with your knowledge, Herzog isn't gonna screw over one side over the other and with Likud winning by quite a margin they'll get to try and form a coalition first with no clear path for the change bloc as well

And now Bibi says the elections were stolen lol

Eisenkot: "We can trust the Arabs, they will condemn Hamas along side us....right guys?"

Arab Party :

He never said we can trust them, quite the opposite.. I'd revert this if he tries to go with Ra'am honestly

Tell us more about this friend. What town did they live in?
How about go fuck yourself? While you enjoy comfort and security while belittling stories of mine that are 100% real, people are suffering. My friend is real and I guess what I've learned is don't share hard truths with this shitty site and the majority of its inhabitants. I wish I could tell you all of her information, but it's not mine to give, and I don't care what any of you think. I'll tell you she is the most beautiful woman I've ever known, she's now in her early twenties, in her second year of University to become a pharmacist near where I'm currently living, just outside D.C. She works, goes to school, and takes care of her brother, who has a rapidly declining case of Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy. That's how we met. On a site trying to create a drug to combat what killed two of the cousins who lived in our house, one of my brothers, and is slowly dragging her 21 year old brother toward a painful death.
