I've had cucumber yogurt soup. That shit hits in the summer. And Iskender is a beast of a meal. Lamb doner and tomato sauce on a bed of Turkish bread and yogurt.

I like both. Cucumber white sauce works when paired with hot food (or hot weather). There's a Russian soup called Okroshka. Look it up. I had it once in the summer. It really cools you down but it's a lot more intense than tzatziki or Turkish cucumber soup.

I have no idea why how joghurt, water and salt are that good at satisfying thirst, but it always helped.
