Where Did All You New People Come From?

A good number of people jumped ship from MMAMania. Most have been chatting for at least a few years, but a few amongst us have known each other for over a decade. All of us who bailed really enjoyed Mania, but some big changes in the moderation there rubbed a lot of people the wrong way. Many of us felt there were arbitrary and abusive uses of power, and unfair bans were handed out. We had enough, and a significant number of commenters defected to MMAJ.
And here we all are.
We all came from MMA Mania. We've all been chatting with eachother on pretty much a daily basis and big time live threaders for fight cards. Especially UFC, obviously.
Moderation over there starting getting insane and it got to where comments/conversations were getting deleted and people getting banned for no good reason.

This place used to be more strict. Can’t remember the last time I was banned, but it used to be at least one a month about 8 year ago. I was lucky to not get a perma ban back then. I’m a mature soul these days but there used to be posters on here that would drive the bad out of you with their s---. Not saying it’s not impossible to get banned if you go too far, but not as bad as it once was.

Yeah we had 55 pages on a fight night card. UFC 300 had 2 or something so I like the energy from these new kids.

The thing is... not all of us are kids. I'm turning 50 soon. I think most of the maniacs are in their mid-thirties, and some are in their 40's.
We're a dying breed of fans. The woke mob is taking over and we are not happy with it!

I took it as a figure of speech. We are the "young" accounts here and are definitely the noobs.

Seems Mania has suddenly picked up where Junkie left off 8 yrs ago.

All of the accounts that have come over from Mania currently are good people. Despite the fact that we like to bulls--- and go way off topic pretty much all the time, rest assured we are all true fight fans, and we take live threading very seriously. One thing that bonded many of us was our shared love of hammering on trolls wherever we find them. Mania was mostly a self-policing community, and asshats would frequently be driven from the scene in a virtual tarring and feathering.
