A question posed in trading shots today, which I found interesting....
What's worse? Losing like Rousey, or losing like Aldo?
On one hand, you've got a 2 round beat down.
On the other.... You've got a 13 second flash KO.

Definitely Rousey's loss.
RR lose for sure.. She got schooled, and exposed a very, very big issue with her game.
Jose got caught by a fighter who has crazy power, with amazing timing, and is maybe one of the most accurate punchers we've ever seen.

I don't think so. I think the Aldo fight was way worse. We all watched a decade or so of dominance end in 13 seconds. You could arguably convince yourself that Rousey could lose to Holm before she did but no one and I mean no one expected Aldo to lose in what amounts to a Vine post. Not only that but there's no guarantee of a rematch. You hold the belt for 7 straight defenses and have been dominant and in 13 seconds you lose everything and there's an actual discussion that you will have to work your way back up.

That is the thing though, what does one punch prove? That Mcgregor hits hard? That Aldo is human and can be KO'd? Not to say that there wasn't implacable technique there, but it truly answered no questions, where a multi round domination where nothing is the loser does is effective at all...that is crushing.

Weidman got his a** beat as bad as Rousey. If Rousey's loss was bad, Weidman's was the same.

Weidman won a round, Rousey did not. Hell, Weidman landed something like 60% of his strikes. In the 3rd, Luke took advantage of a mistake and beat the hell out of him. A bad loss to be sure, but Ronda was utterly dominated from bell to bell and.
I think Ronda's loss is worse than those of Aldo and Chris.
Weidman's loss was the worst of the three by far imo
He lost in every aspect of mma. imo its really tough to imagine weidman ever beating Rockhold.
who knows what happens if Rousey figures out how to cut an angle on Holm n lands a takedown.
I always thought Aldo vs mcgregor was going to be a who lands the first big shot wins the fight deal. So Mcgregor got his in first saturday .
maybe next time its aldo who lands first or maybe aldo says f--- trading punches and goes for a take down.
RR loss was the worst imo with the Chris being close 2nd. Like someone already said, the Aldo KO only proves that connor has knockout power and timing. Other than that it only leaves questions. I'm not just saying that because if who it is either. I've never liked a fight that ended in seconds like that. I think jose should get a instant rematch but not until after connor fights Frankie first. Anyway, the Rousey loss was a beat down that proved who the better fighter is.

I don't think they're on the same level. I think Weidman may have won the first round. He was significantly more competitive than Rousey was.
Weidman got beat bad for sure, But he did not get Dominated as bad as Rhonda did. Weidman did keep it close until that kick. Rhonda never really had it close at any time. IMO
Saying that, Aldo's loss was worse for sure. It was like running into a wall the way he got caught. First punch thrown bye Conor, We didn't see if the best man really won the fight or not. It was like Cain / JDS 1 but faster. At the end of the day Conor did what he said for sure and he is the Champ. No question about it.
Rousey, no way you can say she just got caught like Aldo did. She got a straight up beat down. It has more of an impact cause she claimed to be invincible despite having never really been hit before.
Was I not watching the same Weidman fight as you guys? Yes it ended horribly but he wasn't non-competitive. In fact, until he threw that stupid spinning kick, I thought he was taking over the fight with those body kicks. He was clearly hurting Luke with those and Luke was not moving at all like he was in the first 2 rounds. Then Weidman got over aggressive, went for a ridiculous kick after landing a few body kicks, got taken down and pounded the F out.
That was a champ making a terrible mistake and paying for it in the worse way possible. But it was not anywhere near the Ronda fight or Aldo fight in terms of an embarrassing performance.
To answer the question, Ronda's was way worse. She looked incompetent for 2 rounds. Aldo just got caught. Plenty of MMA fighters have gotten caught. It's bad but it's not the same as looking like an amateur and not even belonging in the same cage.
I think Aldo's....Ronda at least had a snowballs chance when she had a hold of Hollys arm. Aldo can never say he was in a position to win that fight.
On he flip side, I think Hollys win was a better win, due to the fact she had a moment of adversity an fought through it.
I think what he means bye " Which is a worse loss" is what is the Worst way to lose the Title. Getting clearly beaten and Dominated round after round until your finished, Or running out and getting caught bye the first punch thrown and no one getting to see what both fighters had to offer past 1 punch. Maybe I am wrong but that's how I took it.
Rousey fo sho!!! But if we talkin all time worst, I gotta go with andersons. Dude was being a dumbasss and got Kd, rousey was just cocky and acting like a B.
