Remember Cain vs Dos Santos 1? Being the better fighter doesn't mean you can't get caught. I'm not saying that Aldo is the better fighter, I'm saying that getting caught isn't as clear an indication of their relative skill levels as the kind of beat down Ronda received.

Aldo, for sure. He was undefeated for 10 years and was KO'ed within 13 seconds in Round 1; the fastest finish in UFC title fight history.

I would say in terms of who should have awoke the next day feeling like their loss was one that they are unlikely to avenge I would say Weidman, although as far as a career killer I think maybe Aldo..

I agree with almost everyone here, rousey loss was the worse by far. a 8-1 underdog schooling the supposed baddest female on earth in her prime like that *SMH*. With the aldo fight, even vegas had conor as a slight favorite despite aldo's decade of dominance.

It's not even close to a discussion; Rousey's by a long way.

The fact that anybody is arguing the Aldo's loss is worse, just shows how delusional some people are.

I don't see how anyone can say Weidman here. He possibly won the first round, and Luke was really starting to gas before Weidman made a dumb mistake and paid for it.
If he doesn't throw that kick, he still has a chance to win that fight based on how Rockhold was running out of gas with over 2 rounds left in the fight.
To answer the OP tho, I'd much rather get caught with a big shot 13 seconds into a fight, than get totally dominated and embarrassed for a round and a half before getting dropped with a punch, picked back up, then getting my lights put out with a shin to the side of the neck. Aldo can at least tell himself that had he not got caught, he could have used the game plan he went in with and won the fight. There is no possible way that Rousey could ever think that she could have won that fight.

Aldo ended up being the oh so slight favorite. I guarantee if Conor got stretched in 13 seconds there would have been plenty of folks around here telling ya what a joke he Always was amongst other hot loads of BS

They both suck for different reasons.
On the macro its tougher for Jose. The build-up, bad blood, national pride, and not least of all - saying he wouldn't give Conor a rematch after he beats him.
RR is getting her re-match.
Aldo? not so sure.

Weidman did make a mistake, but I don't see enough credit given to Luke's ground game. I guarantee you, not too many fighters in the MW division have the strength and skills to keep Weidman on the ground and advance to full mount. The only other ones that can possibly do it, is maybe Jacare or Romero.

That's how we like it in 'Murica.

Both losses were humiliating. Physiologically, it was worse for Rousey. So yeah, Rousey.

The way Rousey swung and missed then dropped to one knee turned round and holly is the opposite side of the octagon was a lot worse totally outclassed

I wasn't very happy when Rousey lost.

Weidman got his a** beat as bad as Rousey. If Rousey's loss was bad, Weidman's was the same.

Weidman at least had a close 1st round and sustained success in the 2nd round until that spinning kick fiasco. Rousey had a few brief moments where things went well overall was dominated for 95% of the fight.
Not really comparable in my opinion.
As for topic: Rousey's loss. Aldo was just caught by a great counter. Easier to get your mind right about that.
