Going with my boy Kenny. I think Kenny could definately take the belt and be the champ now, and I'm pumped about it! I just know if he could hold on to it again when Penn comes wanting it back.
I still think Penn is the greatest LW in the world, just think he had a bad fight. I certainly hope we don't end up listening to a list of excuses from him though, or he is gonna definately lose me as a fan.

I agree... I think BJ takes it more often than not. But how many times have you seen an immediate rematch? Penn will need at least one or two 'w's before he gets his chance to right his mistakes.

That GSP fight was the worst thing that happened to Florian. It motivated Penn to get into shape and it convinced Florian he should try and wear Penn down against the cage when his best chance was to keep moving.
And what is with all the posters on this board that automatically believe the fighter who is circling loses rounds? Penn tired and Edgar won the last 3 rounds. Granted, I have no clue what the judge who scored the fight 50-45 for Edgar was watching but nonetheless, Edgar was getting the better of the exchanges in the last 3 rounds.

I think thats a bit unfair. Edgar beat BJ fair and square, he's the legit champion. I never seen that coming at all, but fair play to him - he's the champ at 155.

I think when your as dominate as Penn was (at 155) you should get an immediate rematch. I feel great about Edgar (Been rooting for him for a real long time now) but I would like to see him cement his championship against Penn right away.

Maynard's title shot against Edgar is LONG overdue, especially since he was won 6 fights in a row (although the fight against Nate Diaz was questionable), the fact that he is the only one who beat Edgar warranties a title shot.
If Maynard gets through Edgar, Florian comes next, and then BJ Penn, but this is questionable since a lot of good LWs seem to surface lately, especially Sotripoulos.

It really doesn't make sense for him to move to 170 if he just got his *** kicked by a natural 145er though.
