I also really do want to have a kid within the next couple of years. If I could defer this until my first child is born then I'd consider it more seriously. Right now, there's no way I would do it so I picked the "no way" option.

Haha thank you (I think), I take my hypotethical situations very seriously as you can see.
I completely understand that if women did find out that I had 10 million dollars (I, or a friend of mine, told them) and I explained how I acquired it, they would totally want to see me fail. That's just the general nature of a lot of women, get close to a successful man then do everything in her power to bring him down to her level because she thinks she's just raising her own status (she's not, but some women are delusional like that).
See, I just think being a millionare and being a celebrity millionare are two completely different animals.
If you're CEO of a mid-sized company, your friends and their friends know you're wealthy (which is cool with me because I know my real friends would be cool about the situation)... but the average 18-21 year old hot girl isn't going to have any idea who you are if she passes by you on the street or sees you dining at a restaurant. You can eat your meals in peace, have fun doing what you want to do and maybe a handful of people you don't want to associate with will actually find out about your wealth and pester you, but it will be managable.
If your face is plastered all over TV and the internet and you're known for having assloads of cash and being part of some ridiculous no sex for life contest, then you have a whole lot of other problems and it makes enjoying your wealth a lot harder (especially when you can't bang groupies). You can't go out to the bar and hang out, because at least one woman there will know who you are, then everyone would know who you are. You can't enjoy a nice meal at a restaurant because of the same reasons. It would just be miserable and not even worth the money to have to deal with annoying people all day.
Put it this way... one of the main reasons I would take the 10 million dollars is so I wouldn't have to interact with dumbass people. If every dumbass person in the world knew I had 10 million dollars, it would defeat the purpose of having it in the first place because they wouldn't leave me alone!
