I scored a 13.last round. I had to lock in.
Despite my lack of wanting to read, I use to be a English major. I was very good at spitting out 1000 word essays in college. Then I saw the workload and figured a sports path was right up my alley.

I retract my judging compliments to you last round. A 5 for this scene is criminal.

@motives , I thought of this one as I was doing my write up and thought of switching, but I figured someone would have taken it. Good job; this is the best entry this round. CM has lost his damned mind. A tough one to relate to? Any parent should be horrified beyond comprehension by this scene. I can't think of any higher level of remorse.
 
The Interstellar scene is not at all remorse. He isn't filled with self reproach or shame because he's making a sacrifice for humanity. Great movie, but that was not remorse

Come on now... that ending was ridiculous. The guy shoots his kid and literally 3 seconds later absolutely everything they were running from the whole movie just disappears?? They spent the entire movie trying to avoid this fate and they give up just 3 seconds too soon??? 3 seconds!!! I fucking HATE that ending lol. So ridiculous and just there for shock value.

They should have threw a real curve ball in there and went deeper.... the Mist was some metaphor for this guy being an IRL serial killer or something. This mist was all playing out in his mind but when he killed his family he finally snapped back to reality. Now THAT would have been a better and more remorseful ending.

Ok, but that wasn't the judging criteria, Webble. Not liking the movie or the end has nothing to do with whether or not the character was feeling genuine remorse.

Perhaps my comment was misinterpreted (or poorly written) coming right after the breaking bad entry. You did provide context in the write up but what I was meaning to say was that without that, the scene sucked balls and told me nothing. At least the breaking bad clip had some meat with or without the write up. This one was a whiny biatch crying on the floor. So your write up was fine, the clip just sucked. No points deducted. Just a crappy clip.

If the plot was weaponized to get the desired ending, then it was fake. A fraud. Therefore the remorse was fraudulent.

What like some "it was all a dream" cheat ending? Hell no. That would have absolutely sucked.
