Israel opposes mediation deal with Hamas: 'No withdrawal before disarmament'

Israel is opposing an emerging agreement between mediators and Hamas regarding the advancement of U.S. President Donald Trump's plan for Gaza through a 'Peace Council.' A political source claimed that 'the issue of Gaza was not raised at all in the meeting between Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and President Trump. Israel demands complete disarmament of Hamas, including the removal of weapons from Gaza and full demilitarization of the Strip as a precondition for any process.' The source further stated that 'the 15-point document (of the Peace Council) does not adequately address these demands, and Israel has conveyed its reservations on the matter to envoy Tony Blair.' According to the source, 'there will be no Israeli withdrawal from the Yellow Line before Hamas is disarmed and the Strip is demilitarized.'

I have effectively zero faith that they seriously intend to give up anything. It's always a game.

What's even weirder is they just elected the more radical candidate over the lesser one as their new leader last week

Too bad we blew it and missed them both in the clusterfuck of striking their Qatari residence

I bet they had no idea where they were taking fire from. And a significant percentage of Russian soldiers fighting in Ukraine now are old men and others who have no place on a battlefield and no mind for warfare. This could have been a couple of kids or geriatrics.
