this is a fucking horror story!!!I fucking hate contacts. I was able to wear them when I was a teenager. But I did get an infection one time because while trying to remove one, I pushed it behind the eye. I still don't know how I managed that. I had to go to the optometrist and he used a pair of metal pliers to get it out (it was during the 80s). That wasn't a fun afternoon.
Mrs. Brick lost her sense of smell with COVID and 2-3 years later she still couldn't smell pungent things like skunks, dog poo, mushrooms and ... farts. It was like me having a super power. I could blast away silent-but-deadlies in the living room and even the car with total impunity.I just ripped the most massive fart. Might've blown a hole through the couch.
My God, if that's the warning shot, I'll need a seatbelt for tomorrow.
Lost my sense of smell too the first time I got Covid. Thankfully it only lasted 4-5 days. It didn't come back gradually. 1 minute, couldn't smell or taste a thing. The minute after, everything was fine.Mrs. Brick lost her sense of smell with COVID and 2-3 years later she still couldn't smell pungent things like skunks, dog poo, mushrooms and ... farts. We both lost ours the same day. I thought it was kind of funny. But it totally freaked her out. Especially when she got worried it would never go away, because taste was gone too.Lost my sense of smell too the first time I got Covid. Thankfully it only lasted 4-5 days. Not a great experience.
I was scared too. Didn't know how long it would take to come back.We both lost ours the same day. I thought it was kind of funny. But it totally freaked her out. Especially when she got worried it would never go away, because taste was gone too.
She kept trying different stuff hoping she could taste something. She tried good ol' mac n' cheese and suddenly broke down in tears (very unlike Mrs. Brick). With no taste, it was basically bland gooey overcooked pasta. She said "It's like eating like glue!"I was scared too. Didn't know how long it would take to come back.
That's fucking brutal dude. I got sick and lost the sense of taste for like 12 hours and was ready to eat a bullet. It is way worse than people can imagine. Hope it come back one day. It's not back fully yet?She kept trying different stuff hoping she could taste something. She tried good ol' mac n' cheese and suddenly broke down in tears (very unlike Mrs. Brick). With no taste, it was basically bland gooey overcooked pasta. She said "It's like eating like glue!"
I only posted this cause that guy is a gimmick grifter. I did that shit way before him.
Mostly back; to this day, she barely registers gross smells like skunk or dog poo. Which, on balance, isn't that bad of a deal. It's not back fully yet?
Prayers for HealingIt's been a shitty week, I'm currently battling a severe corneal ulcer infection. 4th day in a row of seeing a specialist. Currently zero vision out of my right eye, once healed will be the determining factor if I have to go for a corneal transplant. Constant pain, here's an up to date shot, swelling is going down.

No, she would know; she can smell beer, whisky and cigars.so you could walk in quietly, smoking a joint, smearing dogshit you stepped in all over the floor and she wouldn't know you were home?
Eyeball update, doc wasn't happy with the progress, all new cocktail of drops and meds change. And get this bs, the one has only a three day shelf life, but they won't ship it to my pharmacy, meaning it's an hour away, every three days. Thank jeebus, pops is retired, bought him a 30 rack for being my taxi all week.
