your cheat meal includes... brussel sprouts? If you want to stop someone from being vegan, give them brussel sprouts, wtf?! (I assume you want to say, they taste great, if fry them with honey... but HOW MUCH HONEY?! )

We don't had special food at gas stations, when i was driving a bit more.
Some gas stations had rolls also with baloney, but that was i it think.
Nowadays they upgreded it seems:

But i would say, we don't have something that is a special gas station food.
I assume the reason is, that Germany is a lot smaller and very populated, so there is always a super market nearby.
Everything at a gas station in Germany is insanely expensive. Bubble gums at a gas station cost more than 3 times as much as in the super markets.

when i was working at super market while beeing a trainee i did not have a lot of money.
So sometimes when a had a day off, i would buy a frozen cheese cake:

and.. super cheap frozen pizza.. 3 in a single package:

I would eat 2 pizzas and the whole cake in 2 days.
I can't do either of those anymore.
Especially the pizzas.. they tasted SO BAD.
If i would blind test you the box and the pizza, you would guess i fed you 2 times the box.
No idea, how i was able to survive that xD

now my guilty pleasure might be KFC or just hot dogs made at home.
I don't even know, if they qualify xD There isn't that much guilt involved in eating either of those unless... the next day on the toilet after KFC.
My stomach never got better at handeling that shit.

You need to come to Merica and I'll bring you to a Kwik Trip gas station. It's better than most fast food restaurants. Their rotisserie chicken is top notch.
 
A lot of the gas stations here sell fried chicken. That's a big thing here... Gas station fried chicken. One of the places is called Foodgasm and they have a logo with a drippy font. It grosses me out and I refuse to step foot in there because of it. But I can't eat that shit anymore anyway. When I could eat it, definitely not the hot dogs. What were those rolls? Taquitos? I guess those. Some places had churros on the rollers too.
 
I think the closest thing we have is convenience store delis. This would be unlikely like a deli in the states.

That's a spice bag. Salt & chilli chicken and fries also done with salt & chilli. Thats my cheat meal 2 or 3 times a year

I eat kfc about once a week. I don't even eat Popeyes anymore.
